There is no national morality, there never has been in the history of the world. Even the Bible says this, But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.
Romans 9:6-8 ESV
I know we have this national identity myth about the USA being a "Christian" nation, but the kingdom of the Lord is not of this world.
So what do we do? Where ever we have a voice we speak. We speak the Gospel and hopefully some will defect from the world and join the Lord. While we have a vote we try to vote according to biblical standards. But we must know that these politics are not our hope and presidents, and congressmen are humans unfortunately the are utterly corrupt.
So we pray let not the scepter of wickedness rest upon the allotment to the righteous, stay the hand of the righteous from stretching out to do evil, and surround us who belong to you oh, Lord.
I also pray that these wicked leaders be driven to repentance, that their evils loom over them like a shadow, that steels their sleep, and turn their food to ashes in their mouths, that the wine is vinegar, and that when they go in or out they look in corners and over their shoulders in terror that justice is coming because of their evil deeds.
