There are some good Christian movies. You can find many here:
http://www.christiancinema.com

And so you can know more about if the movies are actually Christian movies it helps to check
them out in case someone tries to sneak in a deception as happens from time to time:

You should try the orignal BBC version of Through the Shadowlands about CS Lewis. Make you sure you get the full 90 minute version rather than the butchered 73 minute one though, which was heavily edited for the American market. Apparently, someone thought it would be a good idea to cut out all the scenes containing alcohol or smoking which resulted in a choppy, truncated viewing experience which misses out important scenes.

The DVD is available on Amazon.com here: http://www.amazon.com/C-S-Lewis-Sha...ef=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1256257793&sr=1-2

I don't know what DVD region you're in, but I know it's also available on VHS if you'd prefer.

Also, if you're into your horror flicks, I highly recommend The Exorcism of Emily Rose. It's a horror-cum-courtroom drama about a priest who's on trial for the negligent homicide of a young girl who died during an exorcism. Very scary, but very good.

With regard to Emily Rose it seems that there are two versions (one edited to get a PG-13 rating in America). The version I recommend is the uncut one, which got a 15 certificate by the BBFC.

I recommend fireproof too, also Facing the Giants from the same makers. Time Changer, Saving Sarah Cain, Saving God... The Ultimate Gift, Faith Like Potatoes ( a little long but it's good), and since we're talking about movies I also recommend a book titled Hollywood be Thy Name by Ray Comfort it's a great book.

I may have to watch this movie. I was just listening to a sermon and the pastor talked about this movie.
He was making the point that we can be true to Christ and still be in this world. At the end when the
guy kisses the woman, its not the woman. He refused to kiss any other woman other than his wife.
So they shadowed the kissing part so viewers can't tell its his wife and not the woman in the movie.

This is awesome to see someone standing up for Christ and their beliefs.

While I don't know all the titles listed here I can say that Fireproof was awesome. Lina I'd have to look into these other titles as I've been thinking about starting a more Christian collection compared to what few titles i have now.

Well I haven't watched Saving God, but my husband did and he recommends it. Iit would be really cool to work on a Christian movie collection. I want to do that too, there are so many great Christian movies out there and I've wasted so much time watching silly ones. So please keep the recommendations coming!

Flywheel is the other one by the Kendrick brothers (along with Facing the Giants, and Fireproof). The Climb, is one that Billy Graham presents. I watched The Hiding Place, another one Billy presented. I rented Road to Redemption and Faith like Potatoes tonight. I havent watched them yet. The Gospel Road is a movie narrated by Johnny Cash about Jesus. I've been wanting to watch Jesus Camp, have any of you seen it?

I've heard of Flywheel but haven't watched, therefore why I didn't mention it. I've heard is very good though, do you agree? I haven't watched Jesus camp but post your opinion about Road to Redemption, I'd like to know how it is so I can get it and see it.

I liked it miss Lina. It's a good movie. The production is not as fancy as the other two, it was the first one they made with a budget of $10,000. You'll like it.

Edit: You mean The Wager? It was ok. The main character does some things that I didnt like, and the premise of the title, I thought was silly.

Ok, I guess I'll be skipping The Wager then. I do want to see Flywheel though. Did you get to watch the movies you rented? How were they?
