Okay so this happened last week and Im still thinking about it but not in a worrying sense more like a curious kind of way. My teen went to bed as normal. I was woken about 5am by a phone call. Blurry eyed I didnt answer the phone call in time. I looked and saw it a call from my teen which was strange. But I thought she must have leaned on the phone and it auto dialled me. I didnt want to wake her ringing her back and because I had hurt myself from a fall, I tried to text her but in the dark I texted incorrectly. She then rings me again and Im thinking what is going on? So I call her back and hear her distress over the phone and I hobble my way to her room. She was crying and trying to explain to me that she had a dream that she was standing at the edge of a cliff and someone pushed her off. In the dream she was spinning as she was falling. Then she woke up and freaked out because she could feel two hands on her upper chest/shoulders grabbing her. She was so scared to leave her room. Since that she has not slept in her own bed. So we prayed about it and I am believing her experience because similar things have happened to me when I was younger. Interpreting it tho is harder because its her experience, I know she will be able to do it in time.

When weird things happen, it is sometimes spiritual in nature. If I had a sick daughter, I would consider other possibilities too.
1. Medications and even some herbs can cause bad dreams. I knew of a mother who's daughter had sleep challenges. She combined her meds with Valerian or St John's Wort and she had a nightmare.
2. Fever, you already mentioned...
I would suspect that first.
3. Lastly, I would try a non scented laundry detergent like BioPack. Many people report that their sinus congestion at night clears up with that one simple change. All bed clothes , sheets and pillow cases get washed and thoroughly rinsed in nonscented soaps.
It reduces sleep apnea when you can breath through the nose easily. That goes for other chemical fragrances too: Like antiperspirant deodorant and even shampoos. I can't say if those are the problem, but that's where I'd start. Nightmares concerning breathing and sleep apnea sometimes happens.

Lastly, I would keep the sleep environment free of electronics. The phones emit microwaves and ping a weak signal to the towers constantly.
Stereo systems etc. give off EMFs that can effect sleep too and stress. Any light affects sleep and that is essential for recovery too.
Didn't want to write a book, but those are some simple things that cost nothing and may be of help.
Reading a chapter from the Bible like the Psalms can put the mind at ease when there's stress and not feeling well.

I hope she feels better soon. I'll pray for her.

Blessings,

She woke up in sleep paralysis. Our bodies go into this to prevent us from acting out our dreams in real life. Her mind was awake but her body asleep. She felt like someone was holding her down bc the brain makes up a situation to explain the "paralysis".

It's very scary and a hallucination. You see it in real life and it feels very real. You can also hear things that aren't really there. It sounds like it's right in your ear while laying down.

They may be spiritual... but they can't harm her or people in general. They enjoy the fear.

It's typically a consequence of some occult involvement. How do I know? Personal experience.

I was amazed at how many teenagers, especially girls, get into witchcraft and other occult practices. Wicca, yoga (that is not just exercise), meditation, spiritualism, spiritism (there is a difference) and such can lead to such demonic attacks. I had two similar attacks, almost immediately after I was saved. I just shouted out "Jesus" each time and the attacks lifted straight away..

Thank you for the prayer. 1 Shes generally pretty healthy and was not on any medication that night. 2. Do you mean fever as in you think its a fever induced hallucination? Shes nor I have ever had that before. 3. Because of my migraines, I cant have scents in my home if I can help it already. I have also reminded her again about devices nearby when sleeping and I need that reminder too. I am currently reading Psalms :) She is getting better and will return to school next week ;)

And thats the thing I cant know 100%. I will pray some more on it. Even the things that happened to me at that age could be explained by both sleep paralysis or be spiritual but back then as a child I didnt know I could ask God about it.

Thanks. I have warned her about these kinds of things especially online they can be found in games children play. She doesnt go to her friends houses so far, so I will continue to keep an eye on her online activity.

Yes. That's a good point. If you say Jesus remove them, they would be gone as well.

I'm not sure what the correlation is between dreams and the spiritual. Or even demons. I think there is a correlation though.

I would say I'm cautious, but not concerned. Bc remember there are guardian angels around as well. And ultimately I believe God uses the demons anyway.

Not necessarily. Demons obey the name of Jesus. I had two incidents just after I was saved. I knew nothing about the satanic realm. I knew very little about anything spiritual. The Lord prompted me to say "Jesus". The attacks lifted immediately. I had nothing like it before I was saved and nothing like it since.

Hey that's great!

#2. Nightmares are common with fevers. Moreso with high fever. Fevers aren't the problem, at least up to a point, because they destroy the virus load that usually has a narrow temp range of survivability. In fact when I get run down and get sick, I welcome low grade fever and cover up rather than relieve them. After that the recovery phase usually begins. Without boring you with details, I'll include a couple of short articles that might be helpful if you want to read more.

3. Sorry about your migraines.
I will pray for that too.

No judgement here. I'm way past my bedtime and should have shut off my computer over an hour ago.

I'm glad she is feeling better.

Thank you for that reading. It just made me curious thats all, not the nightmare part but her feeling something physical touch her. I just asked her and she said it turned her to the side. I think my own experiences have influenced me too. I didnt know you could have a nightmare with a fever. I learned something today! But yeah Im going a bit of Psalms to her before she sleeps, great idea thank you again H&H

I think the dream was not a problem for her as she had 1 or 2 in the past but never with a fever. It was more the waking up and feeling something touch and turn her that freaked her out. But yes we talked and prayed about it.

Yes that part is very scary.

It's not uncommon to have night terrors when you have a fever. That's the only time I have them.

Night terror is when you actually pull your spirit out of your body and you're walking around your house on our realm. It's a nightmare, but super realistic. Your daughter didn't get to that point, but sleep paralysis is when it occurs.

When I had covid and a fever I had a night terror. Basically this mad scientist had gotten into my house. I ran back to my bed and I could actually feel him breathing on my physical body. He was ready to suffocate me. Obviously I believe covid was made in a lab, but it's sorta funny my mind came up with that scenario. It was soo scary...I couldn't go back to sleep. I was afraid to even be in bed and left the room.

I use to Astral project. You wait until sleep paralysis and then pull your spirit out of your body. Sometimes on purpose and sometimes it just happened. I would look down and see my physical body laying there.

When your physical body falls asleep it sounds like static. Then you can move your spirit. You can go into a dream (they come to you like an island or tv). You interact with it and in the dream you go. Or sit up out of the body. It feels like trying to move through mud but then you move quickly.

I don't do it on purpose anymore for different reasons. But that's how I know the process for what your daughter experienced.

What is this Astral project thing you used to do? Is it satanic? How did you teach yourself to do that?

"Many things of the physical and worldly experiences may be rationalized with logical and
plausible reasoning. And from personal experience, a spiritual 'happening/event' are simply
unexplainable in any age, and there will be no doubt that something extraordinary took place,
most likely there will be no witnesses whatsoever!
'Mysteries surrounding God, 'a higher power' are completely out of the jurisdiction of
the human mind to comprehend. And attempting to resolve the mysteries through intellectual

worldly 'thinking' most likely will lead to harmful illusional and erroneous perceptions!

Blurry eyed I didnt answer the phone call in time. I looked and saw it a call from my teen which was strange. But I thought she must have leaned on the phone and it auto dialled me. So we prayed about it and I am believing her experience because similar things have happened to me when I was younger. Interpreting it tho is harder because its her experience, I know she will be able to do it in time.
That's intersting for sure. For the first time that I can ever recall, I experienced something similiar today. I was trying to sleep, quite deeply relaxed on the verge of slipping away, when it felt like there was a one hand on my shoulder and one hand covering my mouth. Of course I immedately woke up and took inventory of what was happening phyiscally and spiritually. I'm not entirely sure what that was about.

I didn't feel fear and I didn't particularly feel love either; i felt normal. Spirtual things are quite interesting, but I experience things so much that I am a bit desensitized. Even the "scary stuff" doens't make me lose a wink of sleep usually. I prayed about it, but I don't recall much about the prayer because I ended up dozing off again. I remember for sure that the hands left me after I prayed.

Anyway, just thought that was quite interesting that you reported someone having hands on her and then I felt the same thing today. Maybe that means something.

Definitely an interesting topic. I think she was scared because the physical touch had never happened to her so it was frightening for her. However I asked her yesterday if she felt like the hands on her was a good or bad thing and she said she didnt get a good or bad vibe about that so I guess afterwards she felt indifferent.
Do you think you experience all that unknown because of your health or surroundings? Or do you think its sleep paralysis? I dont sleep during the day because I usually have bad dreams so Im just glad to be aware and avoid it.
