Just reading through this thread from the beginning. I love Bob Marley (as well as other reggae artists) he was the first to go mainstream in a big way. Yes some of his lyrics are questionable - he was a Rastafarian but a little known fact is that Marley became a Christian 3 months before his death.

Looking forward to hearing him play "live" in Heaven ;)

Ever tried Papa San? Yes I know it was mentioned twice here already, but I mentioned him again because he's great! :D

Though technically he's more christian jamaican than christian reggae. Reggae is not real jamaican, it's an americanized version.

i've been getting into St. Matthew a lot lately --

no weapon formed against Him will prosper.
not by might nor by power, but by the Lord

chorus is from --

Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me:
fight against them that fight against me.

Ok. Yeah, that guys singing was awesome. I'll have to hunt him down. Those two would sound cool with Geneman, which, ironically has a higher voice. He was on Christafri's first CD. The 'you've released me from such bondage' guy.
Second video wouldn't play. Will try later.

I may have posted these guys already, but discovered this album yesterday..

hahahahaha! Yes i am. That may just be Gods grace then ;)
Oh man, this PS song could be so much better without autotune. Adds nothing.

Avion is the wife of the frontman for Christifari, and daughter of Ras Shorty, famous founder of some Calypso music sub-genres and his early Chritian reggae group The Love Circle. she plays bass and sings on some Christifari tracks -- good pedigree! and yes, wonderful voice & soul :)

I didn't know all that stuff, but Ras Shorty seems to be an artist that I must deepen. :)
