Hi all. I just signed up to see if any of you could help me find this song.

I heard it last night on a Christian radio station while on the road just channel surfing, and it was really really good.
I know this is not going to be much help, but I'm pretty sure it had the lyrics "follow your road" or something real close with "road" in it.

I searched google and youtube and there's a song with that title by some guy by the name of josh, but that's not the one.

This song sounded very Springsteenish, lots of violins and background (female) choir-type vocals.... It was well done. I was very very impressed.

I know thats not much to go on, but if any of you know the name.... or want to throw out some ideas... I gotta hear it again.
Trust me lol, for me to sign up to a forum, (i signed up on reddit too) to find a song.... its a good one.
I gotta find this song. D)
thanks.
peace.

I seriously doubt this is the one you're thinking of... but I thought I'd give it a shot, since this is the only song that comes to mind presently, that has the word "road" in it (several times)...

This is a 2012 song by Andrew Peterson, sung from the perspective of a father to his son...

... the word "road (or roads)" is at:

--the 28-30-second mark ("road")

--54-sec to 1:02-min mark ("keep to the old roads" - 2x)

--1:46-1:54-min mark ("keep to the old roads" - 2x)

--2:09-min mark ("old roads")

--3:44-min mark ("old roads")

... also mentions "ancient paths" at some point in the song, as well as "find your way"

Just thought I'd give it a long-shot :D (who knows... again... not really sure it even matches your description too much at all... sorry, LOL) :

[how do I get this to post like the one in the post above mine?? :D (NVM, I think I figured it out... not sure...)]

Radio stations keep lists of the songs they play. I'd call the station to see if they can help you track down the song, especially since you know the date when it was played and the general time of day.

Hey all.
Thanks for the suggestions, I still haven't found it yet. .
I haven't check on my reddit post yet but wanted to say thanks.
Some good tunes above though. Thanks.

And Eternalfire... lol.... yes, and I have actually done that a long time ago for a song I heard in TX, but this time I was on the road out of state and I have no idea what the station was. It was in an area where you just keep hitting scan until a good song pops up.

I'll find it. It wasn't country, and it wasn't rock, and it wasn't Gospel. It was the perfect blend, that's why I said it sounded like something you'd hear on a back-track of a Springsteen album. I mean if it hadn't been for the guys voice obviously not being Springsteen, I would have swore he wrote it. But he didn't.

Ahh, I'll find it. Its worth the hunt.

Edit: I'll keep checking back here, if I don't respond right away please know I'm not ignoring ya'll and being rude. Thanks.

You say it is a guys voice, then I would suggest checking out the band that he wrote songs for, that did not fit himself. Souyhside Johnny and the asbury dukes. And there is a better known band who did much of his material, with a name that just excapes my mind.

I was thinking of Darlene Love and just another lonely mile, regarding your first description. Which you will love if the arrangement, with the big production of orchestral stuff and bachup singers chiming in. That song was written by Bruce Springsteen.

Could it be mannfred mans band and blinded by the light, written by Bruce.

Otherwise you can skim through Little Staven and the diciples of soul, or the other bandnames he has had. Steven Van Zant.
