Was there any doubt that the president, won that one. He exposed Romney's lies and offered good solid reasons to be re elected. It is clear that Romney has little respect for Obama (he is Romney's president too.)

Seems that the Romney spin doctors offered many excuses for his performance last night but too late and not enough.

The mouth is the overflow of the heart.

You sure seem to talk about politics a lot more than you do Jesus. I hope that isn't the case.

I have never understood why a Christian , who shouldn't support abortion, would vote for a democrat who takes your tax dollars to pay for abortions.

Some folks only seem to be pro-life with regard to the unborn. Some of us, as christians, are pro-life from the unborn to the grave, and are no less compassionate toward the elderly and those who are truly sick/unable to care for themselves. I haven't been able to find a party that will defend the entirety. But then, my faith is not in man or political parties...

Forgive me for going off topic for a bit...my mind wandered momentarily..

I was impressed with the fact-checking moderator. Good for her :)

Because while personally some people may agree that abortion is illegal according to the Bible they arent arrogant enough to think its right to force everyone in the nation to conform to our beliefs.

I understand there's no way we can realistically expect an entire nation of people to conform to Christian doctrine. Jesus himself said many will seek to enter heaven, but only a few will be allowed in. As Christians and followers of Jesus, do we not have a responsibility to ask that the tax dollars WE (Christians) give to our government not be used towards abortions? Should we conform to worldly standards because don't want to be perceived as arrogant, and let our government do as it wishes with our dollars? They're doing wrong with OUR money, we have to say something or else we're participating.

The practical side of me knows we can't stop all evils, and that everyone isn't going to be saved, but I still feel like I'm still responsible for standing up and sticking up for what's right or standing up and saying when I disagree with something as a taxpaying citizen, or else I'm inadvertently supporting the thing that's wrong.

They shouldn't expect us to conform to their beliefs.

Once my money leaves my hands and goes into someone eleses i dont care what is done with it by virtue of it no longer being my money.

I guess I just can't wrap my mind around an apathetic attitude towards fiscal policy, personally, but its important to me to have a say in how and where tax revenue is allocated, particularly if I observe an injustice.

Allowing something that is antithetical to our morals because others believe they require it is not the same thing as us doing that very thing ourselves.

If you think abortion and contraception are wrong then there is no one demanding that YOU do them. And when/if others finally come to the same position as you then everyone is good, but using force to make everyone obey your position leaves resentment and hatred. That is not the way God operates.

I get the sense that when called out on the immoral positions of his candidate the poster had no real response and opted for the ole Legislated Morality card. Being that morality shouldn't be legislated. Well, i got new for you. Morality is always legislated. Its either going to be your morality; my morality; Barack Obama's morality; Adolf Hitlers morality; the Muslim Brother hoods morality. you get the point. Either way who ever is in charge will get to set the rules and Id feel much more comfortable knowing its a God fearing; pro life; pro family guy. That's why Im not voting for Obama. Everything he does flies directly in the face of bible based morality. So I am spiritually obligated to stand for what I believe are Universal Moral truths over Barack Obama's immoral positions.

I don't think so. Obama kept wanting the time to be up so they could skip over responses that made him look bad, he kept getting angry over facts that made him look bad.

I thought Romney did quite well, much like the first time.
