One thing I can say, is that made me realize just how insignificant some of the petty things we argue about within the body of Christ are. When you see something like that, the only thing truly important is that Christians band together.

We had to remove the link, and Azizi was even banned (by a moderator simply doing his job and enforcing our general policy/rules) because the video was extremely inappropriate for a Christian family-oriented site, to say the least. But I know Azizi (we love you brother) and I know he meant well (so we unbanned him right away). If you saw the video, I think you would understand why there was an immediate removal of the video and an immediate ban of the poster, but at the same time if you understand that this is coming from a sincere brother who is living among that kind of persecution, you'll also understand the intentions and like shininglight said it's quite a wake up call. Words can't describe what I saw in that video. I had to shut it off after a few seconds. I tried to continue it again and I had to shut it off after another second and close it. I've never seen anything like that in my life -- not even in the movies. And apparently that's just the most recent case (last month).

God bless you Azizi and thank God we have eternal life and we don't have to be afraid of what man can do to us.

I looked at it over an a hour ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Thats one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen in my life. It definitely made me put some things into perspective.

Amen shininglight. Let's praise God for Azizi. He's a fairly new believer and sold out to Jesus, living amongst this persecution.

Well I got curious and searched for it and found it. I don't know what disturbs me more, the video and that he was killed for not renouncing Christianity or the fact I was able to watch it... I can't believe I've become so callous to violence from movies and stuff that when it happens for real, it barely bothered me. I had to sit and think that was a real person and let that sink it in before it really effected me. I feel sick with myself...

Knowing it was real though, I don't think it's gonna leave my brain anytime soon. I almost wish it was that hard over here just so I would wake up (but praise God it's not). I get so bothered by stupid stuff, even wishing I was dead at times and my problems are nothing compared to what people are facing in other parts of the world. That guy seemed about my age too... I wonder what his life was like and what he was like as a person. That he faced it so calm and brave even though he probably wanted very much to live is inspiring.

Remember that though it be hard for us to understand, that it was better that he be beheaded than to renounce his Faith, he passed through his hour of testing and Glory to Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah.

They only have the ability to take our head, they can not have our heart and soul, we already secured them on Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah.

May we all pray for the strength to remain Faithful always and forever.

Peace and Blessing always in the name of Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah.

I saw this video days ago and it almost made me cry. As I was watching it, I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing. I couldn't believe someone could be so evil as to do that without the most minimal expression of compassion for the victim, and I couldn't believe that brave man's calmness while he was being horribly and viciously murdered. As I was watching it, I felt my blood boil with anger and impotence.

At the same time, I was thankful for the video, because it made me see how real our Lord is, sometimes we feel that those thinks don't really happen, that people wouldn't actually be able to endure this kind of persecution...but they can, we can. Through our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless all our persecuted brothers and sisters, I wish I could help you more, but my prayers are always with you. I pray that our enemies repent too. And God bless you Azizi :) may the Lord always protect you and guide you.

We can endure, kayM, and, we must.

”Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for my namesake. But he who and doors to the end shall be saved.” Mark 13: 12-13

” and I say to you my friends do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: fear him who after he has killed has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him.” Luke 12: 4-5

Then down to v. 8: ” also I say to you whoever confesses me before man, him the son of man also will confess before the angels of God. but he who denies Me before man will be denied before the angels of God.”

The Lord leads, His plan, whatever it may be, IS 'great' for you. :)

I pray God shows you Himself, aces, for He wants you to find joy in your life, and, that will come from serving Him, Loving others, in both Spirit and in Truth. :)

Hey I just realized that I think the video that acesneverwin and kayem77 are referring to is not the same one that I saw. There were actually two videos, and I had watched the one at the bottom, and it was extremely graphic, to say the least. And the beheading was done by a Muslim kid!

The first video I now see (a different beheading) showed the martyr (a different martyr) for an extended period of time, and yes he was a young man and he was quite calm, trusting his soul to God, praise God. I didn't wait to see the actual beheading part of that one coz the other one was unbearable but I watched his calmness and trust in God.

I don't know exactly where the beheadings happened (maybe Azizi can tell us -- was it Saudi Arabia?), but here are some factoids about Azizi's country, Saudi Arabia (from Wikipedia):

"Items and articles belonging to religions other than Islam are prohibited.[3] These include Bibles, ..."

"Conversion of a Muslim to another religion is considered apostasy,[3] a crime punishable by death if the accused does not recant."

Its hard to face the reality of the times we live in, Its hard to make the decision of whether young people should be shown the brutal reality of following Christ even if it cost you your life.
Its kind of strange we are told following Christ could cost you your life, but we shield our children from seeing this reality unfold. ...........then again it was Solomon who said "Ignorance is bliss" .....I wish I didn't know half of what I do.......living with an innocent mind surely must be a wonderful experience

Hebrews 11:35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection.
