they are a political party not a church, so whether or not they mention God seems irrelevant. Not to mention this country is not a theocracy in the first place. Its pretty disrespectful for a political party to focus solely on one religion when they are trying to become presidenbt of a country with many faiths.

This country is based off of Christian values and laws. We are a republic but based off the bible

oh our nation seems to be going down doesn't it. sad day of events. that makes me sad because I can only imagine how it made my God feel. Here he creates us, gives us this beautiful world to live on sends his son to die for us on a cross so that we have a way back to him and this is the thanks he gets. Sad day for my Lord. I am sorry my God. I love you and chose you openly loudly and proudly.

That was to get the state out the church. Not the church out the state. They didn't want a state run church.

Okay, I am not a fan of the two-faced, one party, pawning system called American government.
1)On both sides of the aisle, our male and female "representatives" were once children fed ideologies. 2) Their experiences, like yours do, helped form them into who they are today.
3) Their support network, ability to debate, and luck of the draw got each in office (and perhaps not without God's backing)
4) By nomination/election, each is co-running a diversified nation in an interconnected world.
5) Having said all that, "God" is such a loaded word that its mere mention does NOT make a person, group, or nation any godlier. (In the english language, the word dog is god backwords; or is it the other way around?)
6) Therefore, Rubio's "Almighty God" and the Democratic Convention's apparent removal of all mentions of "god" are of equal value--if politicians and public do not live like God is, in reality, a Holy God.

Prayer: Lord, teach us of Your existence and character today. And remind us why/how we exist in relationship to you...and our neighbor(s). In Jesus' name, amen.

I hope God stays in the Pledge of Allegiance and on our money.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

I dont know about you, but my god is in control of everything regardless of what ANYONE thinks. Therefore it doesnt matter if "God" is a loaded word and doesnt make our country and godlier. It makes me godlier, what other people choose to beleive is their bussiness. My forefathers came to this country seeking religious freedom. They made a journey from England to America, risking their lives so they could practice the Christian faith. This is the foundation of my country. SO when the state tries to interfere with my religious freedom, not only is it insulting to my faith, but to my country. My forefathers would turn in their grave if they were to see this. I am not satisified with well, god this is the way things are nowadays, I will fight for my god. And his beleifs, and his real characteristics. Most of the rest of the world are forced to beleive in a single religion. Many christians overseas are dying for their faith. So I will fight for mine. If something HAS to be sacrificed it shouldnt be my religious freedom, and if thats what its come down too, I think somebody has missed the point.
Prayer: God, help me to not accept things the way they are, give me the strength to fight for your heart, and not fall into the world. With the understanding that you are the same yesterday, today, and forever, you will never change, and all I want out of my life, is to fully understand your plans, your heart, and your character. Realizing, that nothing else in this world matters, and out of everything I could fight over, YOU are the ONLY thing worth fighting for.

This election is about good vs evil. Now I can’t vouch for the GOP elected Officials but the American citizens are divided and it’s divide is over good and evil. One side is for GOD, MORALS, COUNTRY, CONSTITUTION, CAPITALISM – The other is for Big Government, Socialism, if not communism, the collective, the removal of GOD and the CROSS, removal of the constitution

BUT

Either way our country is going to take a massive economic blow soon, but I would rather put my trust in Jesus than government.

Well im guess im on the evil side...but then its better than posting biased articles from a conservative blogsite and not mentioning they are biased. However you think democrats are evil I think republicans are. They want to hold the country back when the only way to go is forward.

Right. Definately. And instead of holding a resonable, civil debate, we make rude accusations, and attacks on peoples persona. Good point guy. Definately the road I want my country on, thanks for that. Obama had his time in office, and he failed. So, why give him another chance, when Romney might be able to make a differece. Honestly, I think getting the country OUT of debt would be a nice step in moving forward. Call me crazy. All this other stuff can wait in my opinion. I could care less about marriage laws, abortion laws, and insurance policies. Not a one of its going to matter if we keep digging a hole in our bank anyway. But, anywho I still respect your opinion. Nobody really knows whos right, I guess thats all part of the fun. :D That being said, I would still prefer to look at everything from a spiritual standpoint.

Honestly, I can't for the life of me see how the GOP stands for The Constitution.

He not only renewed it, he expanded it. But that doesn't show that Repubs care about The Constitution, it just shows Obama and the Congressional Democrats don't.
