It does sound like a terrible way to propose, but, it's kind of a take off of the "fake the bad news only to give good news" ploy. You know, were you try to make something sound so bad, only to have the reality appear 1000 times better (good old reverse psychology). Yes, it could have easily backfired on him, but it worked. The only thing she'll need to worry about are the pranks he may do later.

He must have been not so good looking, he had to fake an emergency to get the woman distracted so she would say Yes? What a loser! Ha. Ha. I don't know I feel he doing that is idiotic.

Naw I saw the video a few days ago. He was a handsome man, and his wife to be is gorgeous. I think the fake plane emergency was nice and she didnt freak out really at all so its all good.

Even though nothing had happened..it wasn't a very good way to propose mostly because
now if there ever is a real emergency she may not take it seriously.

She also could have had a real heart attack or got hysterical where he couldn't calm her down.
But the funniest part would have been if she had said NO..

Most guys should know women like romantic things not ridiculous and not thought through.

If he had done this to me I would have said something like "and why would I want to marry you
if I am about to crash?" ;)
