The latest controversy brought about by my beloved school is the administration's choice of Mitt Romney as a commencement speaker.
From what I understand, this has made ripples throughout the Christian community. For those who don't know, Liberty is one of the largest Christian schools in the world (I have never thought to investigate their claim of #1, so I will suspend belief given the growing populations of Christians elsewhere, specifically Korea), and the administration brought in GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney to speak at commencement.
Romney is, of course, a Mormon and a politically charged figure. This has sparked debate here and abroad (European news agencies were purportedly at the commencement).
I would like to know what you all think of the matter? Was it a good move on the University's part?
