Are profits so low as to make a little extra tax would halve them?? Seems like some hyperbole to me.

I agree that it is likely hyperbole, but I haven't seen the bill. However, there are no citations of the bill in the article either, which I see as a concern.

I'd be interested if anyone knows what text from the bill this might be referring to. Otherwise, I'm guess he's applying a formal which is likely reserved for larger businesses and corporations.
