American politics is crazy around the clock no matter who is POTUS.

The same old gibberish is on display everytime there is a POTUS someone doesn't approve of...which is everytime.

So just sit back and enjoy the ride, in 2020 or 2024 there will be a new kind of jerk taking office.

Same old, same old.

No, you are simply not recognizing the seriousness of what has been happening over the last two years against Donald Trump. Can you imagine the hue and cry which would have been heard if the GOP had seriously gone after Obama for his fraudulent presentation of himself and his policies? That was a genuine threat to America and the Constitution, but no one had the guts to expose Obama for what he truly is -- a crypto-Muslim who wanted to destroy America. Did you note how his association with Black Muslim Louis Farrakhan was hidden from the public so that his true loyalties would not be exposed? And what about his fraudulent birth certificate, and his aiding and abetting of terrorism? Plane-loads of cash going to Iran -- an avowed enemy of America and the West?

The GOP has gone after Obama, and the Dims are going after Trump. The Dims did what they could to get GWB look bad, and the GOP did everything in their powers to get Clinton thrown out of DC. I could go on all the way to old Abe...but for what?

Both Obama and Trump are symptoms of a country making a wrong turn at the cross road...this has been going on for decades...no one can really blame neither Obama or Trump...

funny how in BDF, we rail about context and getting the whole picture, because we know full well that when you have an agenda, and when you have bias, you can easily selectively edit quotes and leave out swathes of other important information to create a narrative that seems to say something almost completely opposite of the truth.

but here, while the news is full of what amounts to a list of Republican talking points from a committee sharply divided along party lines, a committee that since it was formed has been operating under the foregone conclusion that both sides have the singular purpose of perverting information in order to present a biased, politically motivated, pre-determined conclusion, are being 'declassified' with great fanfare, from all reports leaving out a great deal of very relevant information, purposefully, selectively edited to push a particular narrative that may or may not represent reality ((and probably doesn't, given the history of the source)) --- we throw contextual criticism out the window and say "aha!"

that's both interesting behavior and very sad behavior.

Not sure what you are suggesting, but it would appear that the TOTAL FABRICATION of lies against Trump in order to try and force him out of office has no significance to you. Yet this was a blatant attack on the very foundation of the government of the United States, and we are to assume that nothing significant or disturbing has occurred? At another time and place in history, there would have been many lined up before a firing squad for treason.

The best commentary and analysis on the Memo is from
Lionel Nation on his YouTube channel

Until and unless Hillary's indicted and arrested and imprisoned, all is for nought.
A classified memo released by the House Intelligence Committee reveals that the
law firm representing the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National
Committee (DNC) held at least one meeting with the author of the “Russian Dossier,”
Fusion GPS, and media, Breitbart reports.

I'm suggesting that with a whole lot of hoopla the R controlled government has released a very selectivity incomplete, obviously biased list of politically driven talking points, in order to generate a narrative in the public mind that is favourable to their political goals.

This memo doesn't have anything to do with the full truth or facts of what has happened / is happening on the matter. It's about one very biased, very politically motivated source shoving their contextless, purposefully edited partial list of data into the media in order to sway public opinion.

I'm suggesting that this memo is essentially drafted as propaganda in the first place, and that it's been cleverly introduced into the public eye as though it's not.

Okay, your flag is telling me you are a foreigner...why should we trust a foreigner telling us what is a blatant attack on the foundation of our Government?

I'm suggesting that it's akin to how a Mormon might come to the Bible discussion room and type out 20 paragraphs of Bible quotes that seem to support their case.

What would we do then? We'd expose all the places where taking things out of context allows their meaning to be misconstrued, how failing to take into account 20 other paragraphs of quoted verses blows up the narrative they were trying to present, and how other information completely left out shows contradictions to all the conclusions they were trying to convince us of.

We don't have the full story.
We have a memo with only the part of the story the GOP and the white house want us to have in it.

This -- with all due respect -- is COMPLETE NONSENSE. Left-liberal nonsense which you have swallowed. You would sooner see the abuse of power rather than face facts. That is what Democrats did for eight years running.

Facts are facts, and truth is truth, and they resonate in every part of the world. You should examine the facts for yourself, and read that article I posted very carefully. Bringing down a legitimate head of state in any country is called TREASON.

Treason is a hollow word when it's coming from the other side of the national border.

Anybody who listens to Rush Limbaugh has known about all this for almost a year.
Most people don't understand the true scope of the situation, nor do they care.
The MSM is only reporting any of it because they have to.

And what about [Obama's] fraudulent birth certificate.......?
Red Herring.
The real scandal is that he was the illegitimate child
of communist and pornographer Frank Marshall Davis.
Had that info been widely disseminated in 2004, he wouldn't
have been elected to the United States Senate, let alone POTUS.

Case in point of someone who doesn't fathom what's going on here.
There was a high level conspiracy to sabotage Trump, and in effect, cause a coup d'état.
An egregious fabrication was used to obtain a warrant
to surveil him and then attempt a bogus prosecution.
Treasonous felonies were committed here, but you're killing the messenger.

Actually Justin Trudeau should have already been charged with treason for aiding and abetting the enemies of Canada and the West, giving aid and comfort to terrorists, and actively bringing illegal migrants across the Canadian border in violation of the laws of Canada (not to mention messing with the National Anthem). It seems that no one on either side of the border has the intestinal fortitude to deal with this level of crime against the nations which are supposedly Constitutional.

Treason is defined in the United States constitution as: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Case law on the matter dictates that one must actually use force to make war against the United States, or provide aid to an enemy we are at war with. Not a perceived enemy, but an actual one.

What has been going on is certainly a matter of public corruption, and many laws govern this, but not treason.

"In law, treason is the crime that covers some of the more extreme acts against one's nation or sovereign". Let's say we stick with the narrower definition of giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Both Obama (with Iran and ISIS) and Clinton (with Russia and the uranium deal) were guilty of that but no one charged them with treason. And bringing down a head of state illegally should still be considered a treasonous act from the broader definition.
