I have to believe all slavery across space and time has been pretty much equal regarding the overall treatment of slaves. Don't fall prey to revisionist propaganda that American slaves were treated more harshly than other slaves.

Also, women in America, though 2nd class citizens back in the day, we're always treated better than women of the biblical era.
Actually, if you were a Jewish slave you had to be offered your freedom after a period of time. If your master was good and kind you might have chosen not to go. Then you became their bondslave, servant to your master for life on the proviso that your master care for you and your family respectfully. So not all slaves (or slave owners) led the same lives. And oh, bondslave is how God wants us to be with Him. I am His slave and I know He treats me far better than I deserve.

The Bible allowed slavery due to vanquishment or to indebtedness. It did not allow the kidnapping of people and of selling them into slavery and, in fact, mandated capital punishment for the crime of man stealing: Exodus 21:16. The crime is also condemned in the New Testament in I Timothy 1:10.

Paladino:

....

This is all just utterly ridiculous.

Another pathetic set of excuses. Just in case you didn't know it, Palladino was the one in March of this year who threatened any and all NY Republicans to "support Trump or else". Google for link.

By the way, still waiting for "proof" from you and other deluded right wingers that I posted so called fake news or any lies here.

How does this refute his assertion that Marx and Marxists are dishonest?

If anything, as a Democrat I would think a cartoon of Marx palling around with Wall Street Republican types would substantiate Sirk's claim that Marxists are charlatans. :p

And how on earth did Paladino get brought up in the mix? Isn't he some sideshow freak of a perennial candidate in New York politics?

Interesting.

And this article is from Democracy Now, which is a left-wing and biased source...
so we do have to consider that.

And the Bushes are completely antagonistic to Trump, thus also biased...
so we do have to consider that.

But just as this article, and this attorney, are likely quite biased, I'm sure there are other attorneys with different views.

I'm sure this will all get discussed and debated by different attorneys.

I'm certainly not an expert in constitutional ethics laws.
in any case...seems like an attempt at throwing yeast into the dough.

And yet, Africans being kidnapped and enslaved opened the door for many of them to know the Lord and gain salvation. I don't approve of the methods, but I rejoice for my brothers and sisters who endured such hardship but are now in glory. Romans 8:18 speaks of suffering and glory.

Exactly. The original charge was that all slaves live the same horrible lives. Funny how God's way included justice while the world's way spews injustice.

Well, if your master offered to set you free and you chose to remain, I have to think your master is being pretty good to you. But again, that's the difference between the way God handles slaves and the world handles slaves.

Dogs that get beat by their master stick around because they don't know any better. That's why liberals are vomiting in despair because they can't believe the working class slaves attacked their masters and demanded a new one.

My post does not make any attempt to refute any such assertion that Marx and his followers/supporters are frauds. On the contrary, no one is more convinced of this truth than I am. Just remember that it has been historically documented that Marx's patrons (like those of Margaret Sanger and the Bolsheviks) were Republican. You have been given enough evidence from CONSERVATIVE Professor Anthony Sutton to support this claim.

Paladino has been politically ambitious and craves the governorship. While his efforts to get there have been unsuccessful (thus far), he has had a major impact on NYS Republican politics. The problem here on this thread is the fact that it was alleged by one poster that his racist rants was "fake news" and another poster quickly (and naively) endorsed that comment. While the assertion was partially retracted, the endorser has failed to retract his comment even though it was proven that Paladino's racist rant was accurately reported.

Here is the latest news on that:

Some people believe that slavery as it was practiced in the USA was God ordained and that blacks wanted to be enslaved such as in this stereotype caricature where a former slave begs to be taken back into slavery:

Anyone who has actually read the Bible would readily know that slavery as practiced in the USA was anti-biblical and ungodly:

Grimke's Appeal

This long letter was one of the greatest writings in USA history and every word of it is the truth - God's TRUTH.

I don't think anyone HERE believes this.

So... if no one HERE believes this... then it's not really a relative point in this debate.

If it's NOT a relative point in this debate,
then it can only be included here as a means of equivocation,
(as a tool to wrongly conflate completely different points, and thus fabricate some kind of confusion or blame).

Wasn't Sutton some quack no other economists took seriously? I mean you can be both a conservative and a quack. It's possible. People prove it everyday.

People like Paladino. No shocker there. I wouldn't go so far as to call him a "major influence" either. He only got to run for governor because every other NYGOP member thought it was a waste of money to challenge Cuomo. Campaign co-chair? He's nothing. Certainly not some core Trump campaign member.

What about it's modern day version foisted on black communities by progressive liberals? Is that one cool with you?

Exactly. Liberals HAVE to have victims and oppressors in order to justify their self-importance rather than understanding that we are already important in God's eyes.
