He wasn't charged with treason. He was charged with inciting insurrection
So a politically biased hearing that tried to impeach a president who was no longer in office was unable to convict him of insurrection, but you think a real trial with evidence could convict him of treason? So much for your cuckoo tin foil hat conspiracy theories, you have utterly destroyed your credibility, get help, your TDS is very serious.

You're doing that thing where you straw man my argument again. You have a habit of doing that
What I said was an attempted insurrection isn't treason. Treason is giving aid to an enemy during wartime
Those are separate charges

My point is the first charge would have been the easiest to prove especially in a partisan political hearing as opposed to a real legal trial.

I feel that Trump would get a fully fair and legitimate trial in the military. Treason is always in a military tribunal.

Except for the fact that evidence for any election fraud has yet to be presented. Maybe stop listening to people like them my pillow guy
Bro, there was far more (circumstantial) evidence than there was any real evidence that Trump was fraudulently elected. When 800,000 ballots appear at 3am in PA, swinging that state from Trump to Biden, c'mon. If that happened in reverse, all Lefties would have been screaming fraud.

Not when one party legalizes them.
A small handful of states have legalized cannabis but other than that I don't see any other drugs being legalized.
Putting people in jail over a plant is a waste of taxpayer money
Also it brings in tax revenue for the few States who have legalized it

And, it results in people buying pot at one of these "legalized" shops and selling it to kids on the street. It results in more DWIs. Just ask CO. There's a reason the mayor of Amsterdam started to pull back on some of the permissive laws there.

Yeah just like people buy alcohol and give it to minors.
When I wasn't 21 yet I could usually find someone to get me some beer
Approximately 40% of all criminal cases in America are nonviolent drug crimes. I feel like this is a waste of taxpayer money and public resources. Also it takes up space in prison that could be used for violent criminals

No red wave.

Trump momentum is over.

Reversal of Roe v Wade sent democrats and women who believe they shouldn't give birth to a rapist's baby into shock. Comes down to they would rather be poor than give birth to rapist's baby.

If a woman has to carry her rapist baby then the man who raped her should get a mandatory life sentence. Fair is fair

Trump isn't in office. Republicans need to get off their behinds and WORK for the vote. Stop looking to Trump to lead. He worked harder than Mitch Mc Connell and most of the other Repubs. He isn't to blame. If Christians got up and voted for life, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Time to put the finger in not out.

Trump will probably run again in 2024 and probably stands a pretty good chance of winning if the Democrats pick another woke candidate

If I were Trump I would stay home and enjoy retirement. The Dems will forget about him and fire at the next guy. Clearly Republicans don't want to put in the work, why should he kill himself to drag them along? I wouldn't.

You're right. So normalizing another intoxicant is the answer.

At least, however, alcoholic drinks are a food source. There is some nutritional value in them. There's no reason to consume pot except to get intoxicated.

How many people die from alcohol poisoning, drunk drivers etc hundreds, millions maybe?
How many people die from weed? To my knowledge zero

TREASON: the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.

You responded the first time I posted this correct definition of treason, so I know you did see it...

Or sending five cops to my house because the neighbor smelled me smoking weed and called the cops.
Five cops for a guy smoking a joint? That's just a waste of City resources

This was at least 20 years ago when this happened but here's where the story really gets weird.
The confiscated my weed which was a few grams, small amount and then try to get me to snitch on who I bought the weed from
I just made up a story and said I bought it from some dude on Kmart parking lot
So then the officer says well I'm going on vacation and if you haven't called me and told me a name I'm coming back to arrest you
I figured since I wasn't already in handcuffed he was probably bluffing. I didn't hear from him again

Okay... your opinion / my opinion... Mine is that society needs to create a policy that does not give tacit approval to narcotics. It must always have a stigma attached to it. Permissiveness in this area will do nothing to help the country, and negative consequences have already resulted from it.
