I think many of us are keenly aware of the situation in Venezuela. It's like a recurring unpleasant thought that invades our day that we think, "yeah, that's pretty bad. I'll pray for them". Not, of course that there is anything wrong with prayer, only this there appears to be a very difficult case in which we can help in a physical sense.

I've looked around at the situation a bit, and it seems the Government is refusing to allow humanitarian aid, which I believe includes Christian organizations helping even the children.

This site has a Global reach so I was wondering if anyone has any insight or ideas on how the body of Christ can help these people. Here is just one of the stories that are like a daily drumbeat of bad news emanating from there:

Really sad when help is available yet a corrupt government will not allow it to enter. I know of a group that does medical assistance and disaster relief but they are constrained by the governments on when and where they can operate.

It's sad that a country as wealthy as Venezuela, can not meet the basic needs of a huge part of its population.
