Lord please forgive me,I have failed
I tripped in sin, and it took sail.
I fell in, to almost drown
Only darkness, to be found.
With only pain, that was in sight
Then you came, my shining light.
You pulled me up, from the cold
You spoke of words, these words were told.
You said I am yours, and you are mine
But you are punished, for this your crime.
I felt the hurt, I felt the pain
I felt the works, drove me insane.
I let you down, was filled with grief
I got no rest, and got no peace.
I'd rather suffer, then you to sorrow
Not today,and not tomorrow.
This could be bad, maybe evil
Now warm up your arms, all you people.
I'm on the ground, I yell and moan
Leave the rocks, and grab a stone.

These are the things, I much rather go through.
Lord you are my one, and I have sinned against you.
Thank you lord, for your forgiveness and grace.
You put me in check, you put me in place.

Thank you lord,I'm sorry and I love you.

Hi Talljake, I am fairly new to Christianity and am surprised by the "your" in this line. Should it not be 'our'???

After further review..... What that line means is I will be punished for my sin. I will not be punished for a sin that you have done. So the line broken down could say....but Jake is punished, for Jake's crime. The lord would be talking to someone individually not as a group. Hope this helps sorry for any confusion
