A whisper in a crowd,
An upside down frown,
A cry among laughter,
A soul who wants to matter.

A hope to be heard,
A broken wing bird,
An animal in a cage;
Filled with devastating rage.

A life free at heart;
Wishing for one more start.
A broken compass,
A faded map,
A distant echo,
Lost and longing for the sound,
To be given a name of one who is never found.
