Devoted

Betrayed by my own foolish mind,

Seduced by a lie meant to bind,

Is redemption meant for only the strong,

The weak left to live in the cold.


Can a God that is holy and Pure,

Make peace with a servant confused and unsure,

Weighed down by life’s bitter hand,

Held captive by whispering fears.


Yet still you call me your own,

No greater love have I been shown,

More then just a far away God,

You’re my passion my friend and my soul mate.


I’m wrapped in the arms of my heart’s true desire,

Devotion in me your love has inspired,

I’ve been kissed by eternity

There’s no backing down, my path has been set.
