Rejection...
an absence of empathy,
the reign of indifference,
an era of mine and yours.
Conditions of agreement,
the stench of things misunderstood,
no need for questions,
even less for answers,
only silence...

I don't love you anymore

How dare I say that
and think I ever truly did?
A seed by the roadside
that any bird can pluck away
isn't really a seed,
for it fails to grow into a tree.
It is simply food...
A mask with a happy face
isn’t really a happy face,
for it lacks the wrinkles of despair,
It is only a mask...

The moment I ask myself
if I ever truly loved you,
my answer is already there,
hiding in my very question,
laughing in my face,
confirming my suspicions.

I never truly loved you

I don’t like you anymore
or at least not the way I once did.
But I know I have to love you
and go on loving you
honestly
tirelessly
unconditionally
Forge at first in order to forge at last
The way you are is a shadow
of the cross I have to bear
and I know you are right for me

Hello community. Hope your are all doing well. None of this I would have realized without Christ in my life. Thank you for reading.

This is soooooo powerful and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.

Fleeting, dismissive, love is so tragic...abandons so much hope, growth and understanding.

If viewed from the bottom of a water well, stars in the sky become visible even in broad daylight. Everything is a victory if viewed the right way. Christ died and reassurected for, how could it not be so. Thank you for reading.
