As long as I boast
in my freedom of choice
free I am not at all
I’m a captive quartered by decisions
I’m a servant running to and fro

Who is the perfect Freedom?
Who liberates us
from the cold dungeon of choice?
Only the One in Whom
the need to choose no longer exists
Only the One Whose voice
is an answer to any given choice

I am free of need
when I know what to need
I am free of want
when I know what to want
I am free of wish
when I know what to wish

The freedom of choice
is no freedom at all
A captive is quartered by decisions
A servant runs to and fro
