Do you mind if my mind just sits here & bides some time?
I just need to think, & this pen is filled with ink.
It makes for a perfect combination to vent my feelings & frustrations.
I just need to fill these empty lines as my
mind
winds
down.
I don't have to think horrible thoughts as long as this writing keeps them blocked.
This might not make sense, rarely does to me.
I just need to write, need to feel free.
So as I sit & rhyme these words, my mind is blocking out hateful verbs.

Goth4God, I like your expressive, personable, honesty! I'm new here. Yesterday I read your poem, incoherant scribbles and began praying for you last night. By your screen name, I assume you believe in God and His son, Jesus Christ. Allow me to share this with you: Though I know very little about you, God knows you and loves you so very much. He understands your talents, bents, weaknesses, fears! I grew up painfully shy and terribly self-conscious. I know God heals. Through Jesus' name, I am still going through healing from my past, and I have come a long way. Perhaps you have before read Romans 8, the chapter as a whole or in verses. I have a challenge for you. Read Romans 8 daily. Yes, the whole chapter, each and every day, preferable in the morning. It is so freeing!

In a summary, here are some main verses in Romans chapter 8: V1 "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. ... 15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ""Abba," Father." 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. ... 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.
More Than Conquerors--- 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. ... 37 ... in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

another passage of importance: John 8:31-36 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." 33 They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?" 34 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Blessings of God's freedom to you and all who read this,

Thank you for your input! I really appreciate it!

@Ponderer: I do believe in God and I am usually ok when it comes to myself, God has brought me a long way! I do sometimes get down and have negative thoughts, and I tend to express them in poetry form now instead of acting upon them and hurting myself or something like that =] Thank you for the prayer cuz I know everyone, no matter who you are, can always use prayer!
