But instead descended from grace
Deep down into a pitch black place filled with wickedness and disgrace
Iniquities within burning my soul with sorrow and pain
No faith
Enslaved by darkness
My heart so broken& vain betrayed
Lost, empty, worthless
Lucifer consumed my weakness
In darkness I lay crying everyday
You came to rescue me
You banished the darkness filled my heart with light and cleansed my heart; renewed
Forgave and held me tight
Explaining to me that it was no longer my fight but Yours. I told You I was to far gone to be saved and so worthless to sing to You in songs of praise. You whispered You loved me and rebuked the demons who lied away. As my chains fell off
My eyes were opened to You
You told me You had never stopped listening to my agonizing cries
You loved me back to life
You kept me from death so many times
to disobey You now would be the gravest of mistakes
Honored am I for such a calling from God Himself
A heart of gratitude pours praise out to You
Prayer is my delight and my life is Yours
Oh so happy am I that the only one true hero lifted me out of darkness and misery
Who is my LORD and saviour
