Money lust

Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil
for this people will reconcile how they can cross you

Oh, how they lust for silver and gold
for this they will sell their soul

Wisdom is not your friend
you say only cash can I depend

You explain for it is in my bank account I feel secure
you say I'd betray God Himself for finances to procure

For a little money they don't care who they use
for they reason what is it that I abuse
people are disposable
so, they shout please don't bore me with proposals

They expound for I am but a casualty
a victim of the system
this is why I play the fool
because to me the world has been cruel

It matters not what they forsake
as long as money they can take

What is a promise to them, they desire to chase profits
they say I have no wish to stop it
only in dollars do I trust
should I feel down because it is in money I lust

They grope around in the mid-day like one who is blind
surely wisdom they despise
they rely on only their own reprobate mind
they convince themselves of their own lies

So the priestly nation will proclaim
go ahead world labor desperately, for money and fame
as for our royal inheritance, we have eternity with the I AM name
