Consoled in Restful Peace

Heavenly Father,
[Isaiah 26.3] You guard and watch over me and cause me to remain in perfect, complete shalom-peace-constant peace You give to me.
Your Salvation’s feast, before my enemies-whose every whims to take away my joy, You spread a delightful table full of pleasant meat and drink [Psalm 23.5]—
Outside the rest that You’ve provided, the enemy rages (noisily) but the roar cannot prevail to cause me fear for You are here beside me;
You comfort and hold me, in Your hands uphold me; I will not be alarmed by the warring clamor that would harm the unprotected ones not clothed in God’s armor.
The rest that You’ve provided hides my heart from thieves and the far more weak destroyer and keeps me from the fiery missiles that seeks to do me harm;
my soul is restful for You give me rest in Your arms, Your present help gives comfort midst the battle and the turmoil of the foe who seeks to steal my joy.
I commit my life unto You, I submit my life and will, and I hide in Your presence finding perfect rest inside; You give me perfect peace.
You constantly watch o’er me, charging angels to guard o’er me, lovingly enfold me in Your shadowing wings and hold me in regard in your arms [Psalm 91.1, 4a, 11]
To keep me from all fearful alarms, in your shadow as You hover o’er me, I will abide, in the power of Your Spirit’s Love I will reside;
Though the foe desires to harm, to hurt, alarm and kill me, though the sun would scorch me, with Your love You protect me, in Your shelter You set me [Psalm 91.5,6]
With Your living water fill me, were it not for grace You find me pierced by deadly arrows and torn by beasts around me
You’re my secure and safe high tower ‘bove the evil that surrounds me; the very present help in the hour of my need
Were it not for You Who saves me from the heat and hides me in the hollow of Your hand, and fills me with Your presence in a dry and thirsty land
I would have died --deserted and lonely, but You came to save me from the pits of despair, You gave me strength to know great victory!
In You, my Savior, I trust—in the beauty of your face, I lift my face from the dust to behold Your face and gaze upon Your delightful loveliness [Psalm 27.4];
All my days I will adore You and set my heart before You take up the robes of righteousness and submit to Holiness
I will seek your Spirit boldly over worldliness and self-ambition, and prayerfully walk in Spirit vision to stand on solid ground
I will remain on the Rock forever though the foe seeks to assail me, I know You’ll never fail me; When I fall You will uphold me in Your hand [Psalm 37.24]
And in Your Spirit’s consolation, I am blessed and I am strengthened to profess to all around me: Amen! In Jesus’ holy Name, Amen!
