What did Christ give up to enter into eternity? Will His hands be scarred forever for our sakes? These are questions I ask.

I look around at my life and think, why does this stuff, this sin, still so easily beset me? When will I put this all away from me and lay it down, counted as dung to gain the Kingdom. Is my love for Him and for what He did for us enough? That I should speak things that are right, and good, and things that will remain. If I speak, does it come from a wicked heart? Or one of regenerative power? Set free from sin and death.

If I hate my brother, look down on him with contempt for his own sin, because I have made myself to be blameless before the Lord, this, is something man has done and not God. This is something I have given out of the blackness of my own heart, if I yet hate my brother. Give man a cause, and man will hate. But blessed are the peacemakers, and blessed are the children who learn from Him.

He is teaching our hearts new things, right things, things that endure. Things that others can hear, and see, and that they should taste of goodness (not our own) and see that God is good. If I speak of myself, does anyone hear it? Or is it that, only those of the world who love themselves will hear it? I think, the world will love it's own.

So, what do we do with this knowledge? That God alone is good and that our hearts are desperately wicked? We learn! Who is going to teach us in the right way? Or in the way everlasting? But our Father (Who is in Heaven).

What should we speak on Earth to our brethren? And what should we give to them? Is it a good way and a right way? Or is it the unclean things of men's hearts? If I examine myself I will see that I am weak, selfish in the flesh. If I look to exalt myself I will be abased, and if I look for the favour of men to sustain me, it surely will swiftly pass away. God will not be mocked, and every proud boaster will be put down, not because my heart speaks of it, but because God will not let filth enter into His City (I say this out of love for Him). He is perfect.

Hate evil! And do what is good!
