The Race
For all the moments I rest in You
My Lord, my God, my Savior,
I come into Your presence Lord...
And breath in Your precious favor!
Let the stress of life slowly fade
To notes of harmony,
Replaced with winds that touch my soul
As my worries simply flee.
Now, in this place, renew my thoughts
As shattered beams are dancing -
To focus in on one lone man
Who’s silently advancing.
He stands alone and yet with many
A multitude of souls
From Adam all the way to me
His peace and love unfolds.
And now without a word He speaks
And fills me with His wisdom.
Of all things lovely, pure, and true,
My blindness for His vision.
I thank You Lord for holding me,
Love written on Your face.
And in Your warm and healing presence -
Equipped to run the race!
