Wuthering Heart

My head is a silent grass field
where swallows sleep after a long trip.
My sword is ready, my warhelm is donned.
God granted me this wuthering heart
that does not sleep, nor relent at anything.

Wuthering heart,
restless like a hunger lion.
Heart as savage as the wilderness,
God, you made me stronger than a knight.

My ship has survived the worst.
My shield has overcome the worst.
God, you made me bolder than a viking.

Many see the words written in black and white.
Few know the story and no one knows the fight;
The battles, demons, struggles, that keep you up at night.

But every storm must end, no matter how violent.
A sweet day that will be when the wind does go silent.

But fight as you must, brave warrior;
Raise the Flag, hold it high,
For for each day we wage this war
Within our Wuthering hearts,
That Day draws closer,
Our Promised Land draws nigh...
