HEy,

I'm sorry that you failed your LPN, I know what it feels like to work hard for something while having my loved ones backing me up and coming back with the bad news. You have to know that your not the only one who goes through this. Yeah you may have failed the nurses exam, but its not like you won't get another oppurtunity. And for the record you may have not let anyone down, remember that they may feel sorry that you didn't make it this time also, and if they are the right kind of people they don't resent you for doing so, they really support you. Who knows why you didn't make it this time, but if its to be, it will be in God's time..... Don't stress too much over it just give it all to God, and he will fill that dissapointment you have now. Just means you have to work harder the next time around, be persistent!
"Come to me, all you who are eary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

God Bless!

Hi there,

I was just wondeirng, when will you be able to try again, if you are wanting to do so? Having spent a fair amount of time (more than I wanted, at least) in supposed higher education, I can't tell you how many times I talked to people who failed and/or were kicked out of classes and programs... (and some of these people were the professors teaching the classes) only to retry and do well or else find another path that made them much happier and more fulfilled. Sometimes a "failure" isn't a failure at all, it's just God trying to prepare us for what's ahead or redirect us to another path. For instance, I always wanted to go into the medical field but knew I wasn't cut out for it when I couldn't even pass high school physics (but was getting an A in everything else) and got through chemistry by the skin of my teeth (not to mention blood, sweat, and tears.)

I've always heard that when God closes a door, He will open a window.

I pray that you'll find encouragement, either to get right back up and try again, or to find whatever plan God may have for you, even if it's in another field. I personally think it's quite an accomplishment that you made it into a position where you were qualified to take the boards... congratulations!! Some don't even get that far.

Don't give up, keep trying, and be blessed!

Try not to be so hard on yourself. I am sure that many do not pass their first time, maybe even their second time. Those tests are designed to be tough. Not passing does not mean you are a failure. It just means you are human. Don't be discouraged. Others have passed it after failing it the first time, and so will you pass it too. Here is a scripture that I hope will help you. It is one that is also very dear to my own heart...

8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:8-9

God bless you. And for the record, I admire you for taking on a nursing career. I would have gone into it myself if I could stomach it, but I am studying to be a pharmacy technician instead. Please dont be discouraged. This is just a tiny stumble on your way to an exciting and successful career. God knows we need more good nurses!
