I've been on quite a few sites of just about every subject there is but I find that cc is one of the most difficult sites to navigate and find your way through all the different subjects that are discussed here.Or maybe I'm just way to computer illiterate to be here and it's just going to take me a lot longer to figure things out. However I think If I keep working on it I may become a semi, pro at getting to know where I'm going what I'm going to say to who and where I'm going to say it.

The basics of the site are quite easy. The site is split into a limited number of sections. Posts about being single and it's struggles, or if you're single and want to post there go in the Singles forum. Bible topics go in the Bible Discussion Forum. Etc... just read each forum and it's description to see what goes where. For more details check this link. But the chat room tips are no longer valid since the chat room was recently done completely over.

Every site takes some getting used to :) One thing this site has hands above most others is that there are no annoying ads disrupting the flow of conversation. Thank you, Robo-Op! It is true there are quite a few forums, and many of them have thousands of threads, but it is the current threads that most people post in, though some old ones are resurrected from time to time. There is an option to see all the latest posts so you know where people are active, which is also helpful, because some areas of the site do not generate much use :D You should be able to see all the different forums from the CC main page; click any one of them to see the threads in that category, where it will also show the time of the last posting, as well as who made the post. If you ever wonder which forum you are in, just check your upper address bar; for instance, mine now says as part of the url: christian-singles-forum/161570-difficulty-navigating-site...

Welcome to CC! I hope you enjoy your time with us :)

Also, when you see that little blue arrow by the date, time, and member who made the last post in any thread, if you click the arrow, it will take you right to that post, whereas clicking the thread title will take you to the opening post on the first page of that thread. It works the same when you quote someone: a link back to the original post is included, with that same little blue arrow taking you back to the post being quoted if you click it.

I have never understood people thinking they have to open up various forum rooms.

I use one search criteria, directly from my desktop, and I am never more than one mouse click from every single post that has been made since the last time I was here.

When someone makes a post, their user name always shows up to the left hand side of the post, with other member information such as country flag, avatar image, join date, number of posts, etc. If you click the member name beside any post, a drop down appears giving you options such as view profile, private message, or viewing all the most recent posts of that member (I think the last four hundred posts are shown, twenty per page, twenty pages) etc. You can add your own avatar image and member image from the Settings link at the upper right hand side of any page, where you will find modules along the left hand side of the page. The third one is member settings :)
