You may not have lost your friend entirely
Relationships go through valleys....don't give up on it because of one or two episodes of unpleasantness.
Some of the strongest and most worthwhile relationships are those that undergo periodic reconstruction.
Though they should eventually reach some sort of state of stability. If it doesn't reach that point eventually, then it may be a 'toxic' relationship and not good for you to continue. But don't give up on it too quickly
