I already live like that most of the time.
When my best friend came over one time as I was playing my guitar by candlelight, He started into me.
Dude Why do you live like this!!!
---Live like what?
Its cold in here,
---you wanna borrow my jacket?
No, I can see my breath!!!
---well then quit breathing so hard
Light a fire Man you're gonna freeze during the middle of the night
---don't need a fire until it gets below 50, the human body puts out 20,000 BTU so I can crawl under my blanket.
and shovel your driveway, I almost got my truck stuck coming up
---Who said I was expecting company, get a different truck, my old ford makes it up just fine.
I came over to bring you some leftovers from dinner, thought you might like that
---I shot some squirrel earlier, its pretty good want some?
You cant live on squirrel man!!!
---Hmmm funny, I aint dead yet
And set your freakin clock, its been stuck at the same time for the last 8 months, its kinda freaky
---When Im home it doesnt really matter what time it is. Here I'll go move the minute hand for ya if it'll make you feel better.
Im worried about you Bro
---worried about me?
Your fancy 50,000 dollar truck with GPS navigation you brag about cant make it up my driveway, you're worried you might miss your favorite tv show or be home late so you have to know what time it is instead of just looking out the window to know if its dark or light outside, are reliant on a power company which part of your paycheck goes to to be a slave to your tv and a grocery store to feed yourself, you need a gas powered log splitter instead of getting your Mtn. exercise by going outside and splitting your wood as God intended,
and by the looks of that belly you're getting, id say I'm more worried about you.
So I'd bring what I already have
1. My wolf, since wolves have down fur and hair insulated feet which inherently allow them to sleep on top of the snow, so theres extra warmth if you need it too hence where the term
"3 Dog night came from." And there's nothing quite as soothing as a wolfsong in the morning to wake you up, kind of like a whalesong in the quiet of the ocean.
2. My rifle
3. And my guitar, the only thing more soothing than a wolfsong is a little live music to tie up the end of a day and some praises to the Lord
Everything else one can be able to know how to make, grow or hunt for.
I have a job and work too, but its funny how my fancy college degree only taught me how to work for the benefit of others.
When being self sufficient isn't taught much anymore.
And the more I think about it the more I wonder if that's one of the schemes the enemy has propagated to make us reliant on others such as the Govt. which could bite one on the backside at some point.
Such as senate bill S510 which would preclude the public’s right to grow, own, trade, transport, share, feed and eat each and every food that nature makes.
Not gettin all political here, just contemplating.
