Yeah the speed at which things progressed actually confuses me too.

A 9 month engagement isn't that fast though.

Seriously we worked out all of the other details and I've been remarkably surprised. Honestly I kept looking for if there was a catch or, you know, something. I'm mostly confused that God has been so generous when there are others who have not had any such luck.

Oh snap!
I know you are being careful. I'm just big-sistering you as I do, my dear friend. :)

Seeing as you are the only one to have escaped my Man Dungeon (getting married qualifies as an Automatic Release, doggone it...) and lived to tell about it (key phrase here), I am expecting an invitation.

And, I expect it to be written out on a flaming coal, no less!

MAN DUNGEON?!?

Don't mind me, I've just been waiting for an excuse to type something really large. Also, that's sorta hilarious.

It's been kind of an ongoing forum joke for a while that Servant was one of the privileged few (ok, ok, actually, the ONLY one, but don't tell anyone--I have a rep to uphold here as a big baddie) whom I kidnapped and kept (quite comfortably) in my fabled Man Dungeon. Actually, it's quite posh.

All the cages, I mean, furniture, and chains, I mean, accessories, actually match. There was also a joke once that I actually even fed him. Bread and water, of course. (What else does one feed prisoners... er... guests?)

I am delighted to hear that Servant sounds insanely happy. It is long overdue and well-deserved.

But alas. I'm already pining away for "the good old days" and our back-and-forth banter. *sniff, sniff*

I'm hoping his girl can give me a few tips on how to REALLY keep a man (somehow, prison time doesn't seem to be a way to a man's heart... even when I provide food!)

And here all I was trying to do was to keep a man's heart "captive-ated"... *Sigh.*

Well, definitely encourage a man's sense of arson.

Yes that's a real sense. It's more important than style as you and I both know.

This one is really sweet, really trusting, and has absolutely no talent for lying. I mean, that's probably what did it in this case. Now I'm at the... she wants to marry me phase and I'm cool with it thing.

Ugh... this is going to be like... work. I need to ask for her dad's permission too still, I just realized that. I know her answer already so... no worries.

I need to find a caterer don't I?

Servy, you doll you. Plan the wedding AFTER you start your engagement, goof. And MAYBE your fiancee will assist. (You realize that TYPICALLY, it's the bride's family who throws the wedding, right?)

Engagement is guaranteed as far as she's concerned.. Its hard to find quaity ruby rings.. So many diamonds so few rubies.

And her mind is already made up. I ask her dad tomorrow to make things officual. Then I need to find a GIA certified jeweler. Sigh.. This ring thing is hard.
