Simple rules to the thread: share something slightly irritating from the ordinary day to day, then share something positive.

My turn first!

My annoyance - today I was pushing someone in a wheelchair down a ramp that was a little steeper than those made for wheelchair access. I was fine until I had an itch on my nose and couldn't scratch it because I didn't want to take a hand off the chair for safety reasons and I would have had to lean too far over to put on his chair brakes, which would have also been unsafe, given the incline, so I had to go all the way down the ramp before I could scratch my nose.

My blessing - the other day I overheard two women who were jogging together. One was sharing a piece of advice, which she credited to her husband. It was uplifting to hear someone speak favorably of a spouse without that spouse being present.

I think we've got the former down pat in the Streams~ thread. :p

Slight irritant: What appears to be shoddy work ethic from a coworker is going unnoticed and/or unaddressed.

Positive: Lots of stuff! But the rule was "something," so... I'm grateful to be going through the day with all five of my senses intact. It's truly a blessing to be able to experience the sights, sounds, etc. from day to day.

My annoyance.................. When I ordered in Chicken Alfredo for lunch at work today, it was supposed to come with a lot of yummy bread sticks, but there were only a hand full in the box.

My blessing..................... About an hour after I finished eating the lunch, the restaurant sent me an email with a survey to complete, after which they gave me a coupon for $5 off my next order.

I think I'll have Chicken Alfredo twice this week - Woo Hoo!!!

P.S. It doesn't take much to make me happy!!!

And here I thought Descyple was going to say something like, "Minor annoyance... there aren't enough mirrors here for me to admire my own good looks!" "Blessing... FOR YOU... I'm here now so you all get to admire my astonishing perfection!" :D What's this about chicken and breadsticks???!! Humph. :)

Minor annoyance: Working 10 days in a row.

Blessing: Paying off my bills! Two annual major expenses are now crossed off my list for the year, woot woot! And at least half of those days were actually nights, so I'm thankful I could actually get something done without being pulled in as many directions. Praise God! I am praying about the possibility of moving to nights permanently, we shall see.

Mild annoyance... hmm... I ordered a large one topping from Pizza Hut and it was $15. For a large one topping, that's too much, at least around here. And it wasn't that good. But lesson learned, next time I'll get a pizza from the place where I usually go.

Minor blessing: A bowl of Blue Bell southern peach cobbler ice cream which was, but (burp) is no more.

Everyone gotta eat. The only reason more people don't talk about breathing is because air is air is air (unless you have the bad luck to smell a fart.) Eating though, that can be a really good experience or a really bad one... and the next experience can be completely different, and you can have multiple eating experiences per day. So yeah, you'll get a lot of people talking about food.

Another minor blessing - fish, mayo, mustard, on two slices of my whole wheat sourdough bread. Very good supper.

Another mild annoyance... um... I got nothing. Today was a pretty good day.
