Whenever I hear soda being called pop, I can't help but think of Sweet Brown and her talking about not having time for Bronchitis.

Same here! I think manicures hurt, and I don't like other people touching my feet. Plus, I'm ticklish, so...it's just kinda awkward when I'm trying not to jerk my leg away.

Every time someone asks me how things are going with my new baby, I kind of shrug and say, "Fine, but I'm just looking forward to when she's a little older."

And then I get a lecture about how I should cherish this time of her life, because they're only tiny for a little while, blah blah blah.

But you know, little tiny babies are just...meh. I mean, I love my own, but I don't want to hold any other baby, I don't ooh and aww and go all gooey over them.

And people think I'm nuts.

I also couldn't care less about...

Steak.
St. Patrick's Day.
Gerard Butler.
Summer time.

My husband doesn't like whipped cream, and he gets some weird looks over it.

So now I'm curious, what are some things YOU don't like, that it seems most people do?
Barbecue. EVERYONE thinks it's weird I don't like barbecue that much.

Baked beans. That's another one I get teased about.

Oh and congrats on the new little one :D can't remember if I ever told you that! so better late than never :D

I like getting manicures and pedicures, but I'm ticklish also and for that reason I don't get a pedicure that often. I just end up giggling and fidgeting while getting a pedicure.

What makes me so weird is that I don't just dislike, but I detest Cheesecake. Although, I do like chess pie.

Well I guess the most common thing is the assumption I should already be married and/or have kids or that I'm not currently in a relationship and working towards that goal. I'm only 22 and I'll be 23 in July and I'm getting a degree and some people think its weird that right now I'm content with being alone. I want to do my own thing and only worry about myself. I have the rest of my life to get married and have children. So everytime I see my mother/grandmother's friends and they say "You mean you still aren't married to a nice young man yet?" or my favorite "What do you mean your single?" yes it's annoying and it makes my eye twitch  No I don't want to be married right now or have kids or worry about being in a relationship and I am fine with that :)

:eek::eek::eek:

I would live solely on those things...you know, if I wouldn't like, die from it.
Oh no... Coffee is quite possibly the worst substance on earth. When I get to heaven I'm gonna ask God and I'm sure he'll say it was all the devil's doing. ;)

Little tiny babies intimidate me. That sounds so strange, and maybe it's because I've never really dealt with many babies, but they just seem so tiny and fragile, and I get a bit scared to hold them. One time I visited a friend in the hospital a couple hours after she had her baby, and she let me hold him. While I was holding him, she tells me "Yeah, he's healthy and beautiful! He has a broken collarbone, though." My eyes just got real big and I got real still because I didn't want to move and make it worse. :p

This makes me think of when I was in my late teens early 20's. My mom and I were visiting relatives and went to eat lunch with her cousin, cousin's daugther-n-law, and my aunt (I think.) Anyway, at one point we went to this Garden place and were sitting down. I was holding DNL's baby, and heard a pop. I thought that I'd accidentally broke the baby's neck and was extremely scared. Not sure what it popped, but they were nice to reassure me that's not what happened. (Keep in mind, this was a one or two week old trying to hold his head up.)

Things that are really popular that I don't like and will probably make some of you hate me :p

- Harry Potter

- LOTR (sorry, Arwen)

- Star Trek (except for that movie that came out in 2009)

- Big Bang Theory (I just find all the nerd jokes lame. I tried watching it a few times too)

- Seth Rogen movies (I find the humor lacking. The guys I hung out with when I was younger were funnier than that and just as crazy)

- Christian music (uh oh...please don't ban me! :))

People think I'm weird because I'm willing to go SCUBA diving with sharks, but I'm not as willing to open up about myself.

Girls think it's weird (expect for Jullianna ;) ) that I like to shoot guns.

My best friend thinks I'm weird because I'm afraid of odd things. For instance, the swimming with sharks thing sounds like fun. I see a spider, and I will find someone to kill it for me.

Many Christians think I'm weird because I very much believe in the spiritual realm and the Gifts.

My doctor thinks I'm weird because I sometimes dream in French, but I can't really speak it any more.

Oh psh.. you're not even a REAL southerner. You're from TEXAS. That's like southern wannabe. =P
Awwwww snap!

People think I'm weird because I'm not on team Jacob :/
I grew up in Texas and Europe (mom from TX), but I was born in Georgia (bio dad's family still there). So...hmm, if you are from NC, geographically, I think that makes me more southern than YOU :p

I get called weird a lot for how picky of an eater I am. The list of things I won't eat or don't like is just too long. I am apparently "unamerican" because I don't like hot dogs. :p and I'm not crazy about hamburgers either. I don't like tea and I don't eat hardly any meats, really. But I do looove chicken. There's a few other meats I'll eat too, but not much. I feel bad for eating it though. Like, I can't help it. I just think about all the poor chickens that get killed and all the other animals. :\ But I love chicken a little bit too much to let go of it. lol I don't like cheese cake at all! Beets are gross. Onions, tomatoes, sweet potatoes... ew. AND oh my goodness, oatmeal... Nazzy as all! lol I could go on for hours.

There's a growing trend in TX called half& half tea. To keep the sweet tea from being to sweet, we just mix it with a little unsweet tea at the restaurants. Maybe it'll come to your area soon.
Yeah, a lot of people here will do that. I've heard about that long ago, before i moved to NC even. Its not just sweet tea i don't like. I just don't like tea. Especially warm teas, ugh.
