I struggle with either thinking too much and not contributing much at all, or just blurting my thoughts. I don't have a very good "in between".

With new people, I take a very long time getting to know them. I don't do silly banter with people who are not close friends or family (because this involves blurting). I can appear really aloof or boring to most new people because I don't want them to see my personality until I feel like it's safe.
