Hi Forum,

I'm just wondering if there is any help available for I am struggling with this addiction and I am not sure why I'm unable to stop out of my own effort . Is there any way I can break this bondage over my life .

Yes, there is. Hand it over to God and ask him to remove this desire from you. :) Without God, you are nothing, and can do nothing..

Yes, there is. It's God..... but just as God clearly left us to do the work of spreading the gospel. Likewise, God uses people to help people through things like this.

If this thread begins to appear serious, I'll take the time to explain more.

So in the few days, after hardly posting for years.... you have asked help with self worth, Envy and now addiction. Can I say that I feel you are going through some things that require more help then we can all help with. We all will happily advise and help you, however I just sense you need additional help. Please seek some. In the mean time get down on your hands and knees...PRAY and ask for strength to overcome and endure to be the best you can be. AS for PORN there is addiction groups where you can join and seek help and have a sponsor. You can NOT open that site, pop in a DVD or turn to that channel. You need to focus your thoughts else where. Perhaps helping in your community and find better use of your time. PORN is not realistic, does not give you love, affection and is for the devil to come in and allow thoughts to rampage through you. WALK away form it...seek a help group...get on your knees and pray and pray and willing open your heart for the spirit to help you. YOU HAVE THE CHOICE of whom YOU want to be! GOD will help you be that person if you are willing to allow GOD to.

Your avatar is interesting..... Especially in light of this book I highly recommend to people (both male and female)
Eyes of Honor Audiobook | Jonathan Welton | Audible.com

BTW, the written book is much better for study than this audio book.

Yes there is a way out. Jesus is our deliverer we don't have to be enslaved to sin."if the son has set you free you are free indeed",Lord God I thank you for delivering your child.I pray for your hedge of protection to keep her from yielding to that temptation. Cover them in your blood JESUS from the top of their head to the sole of their feet.IN JESUS name Amen.

There's accountability software out there that will block all questionable sites online.

You have to pay for such a service though.

I have a couple of friends who use this but with mixed results.

It's really just a matter of choice like Jeni said.

Wishing you well Guitarist.

It's just an unclean spirit. Go to a good ministry that kicks it out. Take a filter or throw away the tv if necessary. There's a guy on another forum who was addicted for 38 years and he fasted and prayed, nothing worked and he just gave up and said God I can't do it. Then he saw the Lord Who said: With this my son I am well pleased. I knew all along you couldn't do it yourself. He had to speak out over himself yhat his old man died with Christ and that he was a new creation. Then it was immediately gone. Others got help with groups on internet. T.B. Joshua on youtube prays for viewers and will kick unclean demons out for you. First confess it as sin and ask God to lead you in repentance. Bring all these images to dead on the cross. Learn who you are in Christ, a new creation. He came to set us free from sin.
My ex was addicted to it. God showed me 3 women in a dream and he just walked after them and I thought: how on earth can he not see it? Those were not women, they were male demons dressed up like women with fake blonde hair, so ugly. So I said to those 3 demons: Get out of my house now in Jesus' Name. Then he told me it was gone. He didn't need to see it anymore.
So just find some good help in a ministry or on internet and get set free and get to know who you are in Christ.

There are therapists that treat sex addiction. FYI
If you have insurance, you can contact your provider for a referral.
If you don't have insurance, you can try contacting your local mental health agency for direction.
Some agencies accept uninsured residents of their County because they have funding to cover services if you qualify based on your income.
The sooner you talk to someone and begin to bring your addiction to light, the sooner you may find freedom.
I see often that addictions are SYMPTOMS of a person's issues. You must be willing to expose yourself, which you have to some degree as evidenced by your post (bravo for you).

Any other questions regarding services, I can probably help with.

You're not alone in this. Trust me on that.

Bekah says, "I see often that addictions are SYMPTOMS of a person's issues."

One verse that has helped me out not just in trying to overcome porn (which I still need to overcome), but as a side effect, has helped me to overcome old ideas I had was Matthew 5:29, the one about plucking your eye out. You have to figure out what causes you to dive into porn again, and then get rid of it! Now, it's not easy to figure it out all the time, the answer doesn't always lie on the surface. You have to do some deep digging of your heart.

As an example: What tempted me last time was an incorrect view of Scripture, thinking, "this isn't lust!". Maybe not in the Matthew 5:28 sense, but there's also disrespect towards women, even subconsciously. And I know the Bible condemns evil thoughts.

But seriously, the battle is won or lost in the little things every single day.

Please, anyone, PM me if you need someone to talk to.

I could give a whole bunch of advice, but right now my mind's still in a sort of fog, obviously.

[h=1]Here is a start. Pray this Psalms.

Psalm 139:23-24New International Version (NIV)
[/h][SUP]23 [/SUP]Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

When you pray this, center your heart. Make sure you are not just going through the motions. God truly does have the power to remove addiction. We dont have the strength to do it on our own. Thats why we need Him. Lift up this to Him. Trust in Him and know He is your strength. Pray, Pray, Pray!!

Remember, the same power that rose Jesus from the dead is in you.

God Bless,

BA

I bind these unclean spirits in Jesus' Name. Out in Jesus' Name. Pray along. Lord forgive me that I watched porn and for all the uncleanness in Jesus' Name. Now let go of him in Jesus' Name. I cut all soulties between you and those people you have seen. All the images I bring captive and set you free in the Name of Jesus.

You can also pray that yourself because you have the same authority and the power that raised Christ from the dead is in you.

Dear , why don’t you undergo a treatment to overcome that addiction. If you wanna badly overcome that it can be easily done by a treatment. Just give a try. My husband was addicted to porn. And yeah that that was before marriage. A treatment at Edgewood ( http://edgewood.ca/about-our-rehab-facility ) at Columbia helped my boy to come out of his situation. It was before marriage we decided to go there. Because I and Jayden never wanted our happy married life to get ruined. It is God’s grace that I got him in my life.
God bless you dear. Hope you would take the right decision.
Take care.
