You're not alone in this. Trust me on that.
Bekah says, "I see often that addictions are SYMPTOMS of a person's issues."
One verse that has helped me out not just in trying to overcome porn (which I still need to overcome), but as a side effect, has helped me to overcome old ideas I had was Matthew 5:29, the one about plucking your eye out. You have to figure out what causes you to dive into porn again, and then get rid of it! Now, it's not easy to figure it out all the time, the answer doesn't always lie on the surface. You have to do some deep digging of your heart.
As an example: What tempted me last time was an incorrect view of Scripture, thinking, "this isn't lust!". Maybe not in the Matthew 5:28 sense, but there's also disrespect towards women, even subconsciously. And I know the Bible condemns evil thoughts.
But seriously, the battle is won or lost in the little things every single day.
Please, anyone, PM me if you need someone to talk to.
I could give a whole bunch of advice, but right now my mind's still in a sort of fog, obviously.
