So...you're on the right path. You are getting closer and closer to the Lord. You are soaking up scripture. You are being used by God to lead people to Christ. You are praying. You are declaring Him. He is molding you and....
SQUIRREL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There it is......................
a job
a relationship
a house
family
cars
video games
money
clothes
friends
videogames
online activities
exercise
....whatever...

On their own these are not bad things. They CAN be blessings.
But what about when they aren't blessings?
What if they overtake us?
What happens when we permit them to overtake us and lead us away? Especially relationships.

Then what?

How do we turn it around?

Or should we?

I was trying my best to walk in God's ways and then a squirrel came and ate my cookies. :( Now I don't know what to think.

Never understand why folks(including me) put God second when we start dating someone. Shouldn't we be dating a person who want to help us grow closer to God every day. That's what I've chosen to do in my relationships since a relationship I had about a year ago just went wrong.

It might be less beneficial to blame things on figurative squirrels.
The issue is with self and the self that gives into sin.

The solution is simple.
Repent.
Run to the throne of grace and repent.

That's exactly what SHOULD happen, but it doesn't always...because we don't always choose wisely.

It is most definitely NOT the squirrels that lead us astray. It is our making them idols that does it...putting ANYTHING or anyone before God.

Exactamundo, Stilly.

We forget that "Seek ye first the Kingdom...." thing.

Is it possible that they are Christian squirrels?

The Christmas play

Gotta be in choir

Ugh I have to do this Sunday school lesson

Can we use the squirrels to our good? Can we get a little army of squirrels to do our bidding? THAT is the real question

Squirrels or not we need to learn to keep our focus on God.... If the squirrel is meant to be it will stick around and include God in their life also if not let the squirrel go and move forward with God relationship speaking.....if some other kind of squirrel then talk to God about it and let it go if you need to.

In this world full of squirrels the distractions will happen as it is a sinful squirrely planet....but God has a way of getting our attention we just need to pay attention and listen to Him.....He can help us chase the squirrels away we just need to pray.

Reds are cool and should be saved, the American Greys should be exterminated, I wish more people would learn to eat them and realise its a free food source as they are classed as vermin and not protected, unlike the British native Red that is being driven to near extinction by the Americans.
