Speaking of hugs, I got the most precious hug ever the other night at work. A lady came in to my job and had her kids with her (I'm a cashier). Both her kids are autistic. They were actually old enough to be adults (low 20's I think) but had the mindset of children 8-12 years old. After I finished checking them out one of them said "Thank you so much for helping us" and gave me a big hug.

She was such a sweetheart, it's the cutest thing I've seen in a long time. She had no concept that hugging a person you just met/barely know or in a business type setting isn't something that you normally do or that it could somehow be unacceptable. Complete innocence.

One of my friends has an autistic daughter who is such a blessing. :)

Your post reminded me of when my son first started t-ball so many years ago. He was up to bat, hit the ball, ran the bases and was so excited! Our family is extremely demonstrative and affectionate, so when he got back to the bench, he went to hug one of the other boys in his excitement and the boy pushed him off the bench. He had such a puzzled look on his face. He had no clue what he'd done wrong. :(

Real men hug. Seriously.

Thanks for the return hug, Jim!

Michael, hugs back at ya! I'm sure in Heaven we'll get to have a group hug for everyone here, in addition to individual hugs, of course :D!

I'd actually mean to start the thread saying that a hug was included for everyone who needed it, but I forgot. Oh well, plenty of time to catch up!

Sandtigress, hugs for you too, Sis!

DonkeyFish, what a sweet thing to add :'). A hug to you as well. I'm glad you got your internet back, BTW; I had missed you and your posts :).

IDK about this whole "hugs aren't very metal" stuff, Jim and Mike. In fact, I searched metal hug on Bing images, and came up with a lot of stuff. I considered posting the pic of the "hug and kiss" earrings for you just to be a brat, but I decided to be nice instead . Here's the one I thought you'd like the best:

Jilly, I love you and I love the threads you start! They're always so sweet. :) *hugs*
Sis, thank you so much; you're a real sweetheart :')! Also, concerning what you posted in the other thread, PLEASE don't listen to anyone who belittles you; you're worth so much more than that. HUGE mega hugs to you, and I hope you feel better soon. You've always been loved, but I know sometimes life hurts really bad :(. Hmmm.... maybe it's time for me to employ your own tactic on getting people to stop arguing, only now it's to cheer you up! *throws cupcakes at LNF; exclaims at how beautiful the snow is; giggles at the story of how she was late for school because of a moose at baby mooselets near her car*

Please help me blast her into feeling super-loved, everyone!!!!!!

Yay, I inspired a hugging session :D! How did it go?

Aww :(. At least he surely knew he could come to his mom when he needed a hug. I'm sure you made up for the episode later :).

I love that virtual hug, Sis! Hmm, I wonder if a hug from the tropics is any warmer than one from Canada ;D? *hugs back*
