Do you cook with wine? Wine is great for deglazing pans (getting all that flavorful crusty stuff off) and making a sauce with all the veggie juices too. This can also help with a dry chicken breast or other meat that has been cooked a lil' bit too long. Best of all, you can just nip at the wine as you cook and soon you won't care if your dish is ruined.

I don't cook much with wine, but I have in the past. I'm awful about cooking just for myself. Usually I'll end up making something really simple and that will provide me with calories. Now, if y'all were coming over... totally different story!

Its pretty hard to ruin a dish made in a crock pot unless you let every ounce of liquid simmer out. I'd say start slow and work with crock pot recipes. This way its cooking at a steady temp at all times.
