Hey Everyone.

I know this thread may get shut down before it even starts, but... as I was telling someone the other day, I'm kind of the Taylor Swift of chat forums. No, I'm not that talented, pretty, or popular, but what I mean is, when something, or someone, is on my mind, I write a thread about it. Taylor writes about boyfriends... I write about my everyday life and the people I encounter.

After seeing so much of this on the threads, I decided, hey, why not make it easy and gather all the heathens in one place so our resident self-appointed prophets don't have to go chasing all the sinners across the entire forum. After all, we are called to be considerate of others.

So here's my idea for this thread--post something about yourself. And then allow whoever so feels they are "called by God" to do so to chastise you, rebuke your evil way of thinking, cut down your unholy, obviously misplaced priorities, and tell you what you must do in order to truly, honestly, are-you-really-sure-you're-doing-it-right repent and be snatched out of the tongues of hellfire. Lots of cut-and-pasted Scriptures, especially the same ones over and over with no thought, heart, or compassion are also completely advisable, as this surely convinces people like us to true repentance.

I'll go first.

My name is Seoulsearch. For all those who think only certain races or people of certain backgrounds will go to heaven, I do not know my true racial mix or heritage because I am adopted and there are no records. I was raised in church all my life. I was baptized as an infant and later as an adult (I can already FEEL the stones for that one!!) I went to Christian schools K-12th grade. I am divorced and now not married.

One of my worst character flaws is obviously speaking my mind.

Go ahead, please turn me into a crying mess of repentance. Surely you are called by God to do this, and all over the forum, to boot. In only a few sentences, I've put plenty of of things for the self-righteous to grab onto, so feel free to get it all out of your system. And to think, I haven't even told you about who I really am!

Keep in mind, God tells us to take the plank out of your own eye first before going after someone else.

Feel free to take your best shots... BUT. LET'S SEE IF YOU ACTUALLY READ THIS POST TO THE VERY END.

IF YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO IS TELLING ANOTHER PERSON HOW THEY CAN BE SAVED... YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TELL US ABOUT A PLANK IN YOUR OWN LIFE FIRST.

Players who ignore this will automatically be disqualified!!!

(So, if you are going to post in this thread, either 1. post about yourself as something for others to critique and correct... ALL IN LOVE, I'M SURE (cough cough cough) and/or, 2. post your corrections about someone else. BUT. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TELL US ABOUT ONE OF YOUR PERSONAL PLANKS FIRST, VIA THE BIBLE'S INSTRUCTIONS.

Have a God-blessed day. :)

While I see your point, calling a particular person out as a thread title won't help. It'll get shut down. Probably address the issue on here and not a particular person would be more productive. My two cents :)

Yeah, I'm sorry, Arwen. I've written general threads about the topic before. I've also addressed the person in the threads but never got an answer. This is why I wrote publicly, because the things I'm writing about were written publicly.

I'm not that opaque--it's usually quite easy to tell what I'm thinking. I also realize some people will probably see me as hypocritical, which I understand.

*shrugs* It's just that every now and then, I let the bad side out. And on an even worse day, I don't feel all that bad about it.

(At my Christian grade school, I once said something in front of a teacher knowing full well I'd get into trouble. My last words were, "It was worth every minute [of the punishment.]")

Yes, I know. Not exactly a Christian attitude. But sometimes I'd rather be punished that not say what I'm thinking. I've also found that many think the same thing but aren't willing to take the risk in stating it. I suppose I can say I'm dumb enough to take the risk?

If, for some reason, I find myself banned, I just wanted to say it's been a privilege to have gotten to know you all here on CC for the past 4 years :).

Cat, no worries--I would totally make you look like a saint. One of my parents' biggest pet peeves is swearing. I couldn't say things like "gosh" or "darn" at home because to them it was too close to swearing.

Somewhere along the line, I fell far from the path when I get especially upset about something. It's hard to remember to "keep myself good" when I'm at home!

Blessings to you, Cat--I would be happy if my loss of control were only at about twice a year!

Something unrelated... the part of me that writes threads like this--that no-holds-back-no-matter-what's-there--is also the part that offers to pray with co-workers and name their family members during blessings or invites them to church.

It's just that sometimes I have a hard time keeping all of the components of my personality locked into "safe and contained" mode all of the time. If I'm going to step out in Situations A, B, and C, it's really, really hard to watch Situation H(azardous) go by and continue... on and on... without saying something.

And sometimes, I just get tired of holding it back. Self-control is another obvious flaw for me.

...well, as long as we're being real, it may have been twice a year once upon a time. The recent years have been rough though. My number may be off by about 736. :p

1. Sometimes I grieve the Spirit by things I say, usually with a sharp tongue.

2. It sounds like you have some soul searching to do...

I know Tommy4Christ is not the most popular guy on this forum but I for one actually believe that what he posts comes from his heart. It may not be what we want to hear but I believe that Tommy believes in what he is saying to us. There, I said it. :p ...and so I think maybe we should leave the man alone. No offense, Kim.

All right, Zero, and you know I have the utmost respect for you.

I apologize to Tommy and everyone else here on the forum I have offended. However, I still stand my ground on everything I've written in this thread. The Pharisses told everyone how wrong they were and they truly believed in what they were doing as well.

I've been going through a lot of situations in life where... You just let it go, and you suppress it, and push it down, and don't say anything, and even when you do, it gets ignored... I'm one of those people that can only fit so much into the closet. Eventually it bursts, and in every direction.

I'm sorry I let my temper get the best of me. I can guarantee, however, it won't be the last time.

I cant see how this can be fruitful at all. I agree with zero about tommy. while i think his doctrine is flawed i think he is sincere about what he believes. i also think there is some fruitfulness to some of what he has to say. if this thread is any indication we often like to acknowledge our flaws(sins) but not actually confront or repent(turn away) from them. grace is often cheap among American Christianity and sin is often excused rather than exposed. we can stand to learn one thing from the holiness movement and that is that sin is a weighty matter so weighty in fact that God sent His only begotten Son to a Roman cross for it.

I know you don't like my posts, and this is to be expected by the lukewarm church, and I know you love to accuse me of being in bondage to sin and other things, you follow a different gospel than I do, and each of us cant be right here.

I love you enough to give you the truth, because my obedience if fulfilled, as commanded, I have forsaken all my vile sins against God, so I have a right to correct all disobedience as commanded.

I am not here for fun and games, and I warn those who are IN great sin against God that if they do not repent they will not inherit the kingdom of God, as this is clear in the word.

If this is you, then you must repent, and come to a saving faith.

The false gospel has taken its toll on many who post here, and I pray its not you, but you know your heart, most hate the truth here.

I doubt if you have read many of my posts, but I go into great detail about sin, repentance, and against original sin, and substitution, all false teachings making Christianity what it is today,as Jesus said, poor , blind and naked!

I have cleansed myself through the repentance process as commanded, crucifying my flesh as commanded, and do not sin wilfully against God, the old Tommy has been put to death as commanded, I guard my heart, and walk the narrow road with Christ, and if this is wrong, or you think I am being prideful in saying this then you need to read the word of God, apart from your carnal mind.

I don't know if you believe you can be in wilful sin against God and still go to heaven, aka osas, or that Jesus took your wrath called penal sub, invented about 400 years ago or so, but if you do, then this is why you may still be in bondage to the world and its ways;

Fear God and obey His commands, and dig deep for the truth, as I post to the few who still have ears to hear, and have not become hardened in their sins and disobedience, I follow the doctrine according to godliness, not the liberal gospel being sold for profit today as most churches teach, such as the Billy Graham sinners prayer., or the Joel Osteen feel good plan!

I dont know if you read my post on what a real saint is, but I hope you will, you accuse me of being sinless and perfect, but I am just a humble man, that has been brought to my knees, by my God who has granted me repentance unto life, I obey Him from my heart, make many mistakes, have many imperfections, etc, BUT I do not sin wilfully against Him, no way! If you do or are, then this is why you are on the road to perdition, the word of God is clear who will inherit eternal life!

I apologize if I accused you of going to hell, or anyone else here, my zeal gets in the way at times, but those know in their heart if they are producing good or bad fruit in their lives, which is good fruit unto life or bad fruit unto death! BUT I am commanded out of love to warn the unrighteous and lukewarm, to repent or perish, to go and sin no more, or else they will be separated from God forever!

A Saint or an aint?

Joh 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow(obey) Me.

Either you are one or the other, no such things as a sinning saint! A saint is walking in the present tense with Christ, being obedient, pure in heart and deed, and listening to His voice, then they follow Him on the narrow road. Luke 9-23-24.

Luke 9:23 And He said to all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.
Luke 9:24 For whoever will save his life shall lose it, but whoever will lose his life for My sake, he shall save it.

A real saint as described in the Bible has crucified his flesh with Christ, Galatians 2-20,

Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith(obedience) toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.

Once and for all, hence I have been crucified, and thus they now walk in newness of life, 2 Corinthians 5-17.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.

Cleansed and purified of all willful sin, through a real repentance and faith. 2 Corinthians 7-10-11.

2Co 7:10 For the grief according to God works repentance to salvation, not to be regretted, but the grief of the world works out death.
2Co 7:11 For behold this same thing (you being grieved according to God); how much it worked out earnestness in you; but also defense; but also indignation; but also fear; but also desire; but also zeal; but also vengeance! In everything you approved yourselves to be clear (pure) in the matter.

They must remain diligent and faithful to the truth, obey from the heart, and keep themselves undefiled from the world and its false ways! 1 John 2-15-17.

1Jn 2:15 Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,
1Jn 2:16 because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1Jn 2:17 And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever.

You are not a saint without actually doing the works of righteousness(doing what is right) Jesus didn’t obey for you, but made a way, through His bold example for us to follow, He said His sheep follow Him and His steps and ways, which leads to eternal life. But sadly most churches teaches Jesus did it all for them, He took their place, and a real Christian is actually a sinner, but called a saint because they believe in Jesus!

Rom 8:4 So that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

It’s simple, obedience matters, those who count the cost and endure to the end will inherit eternal life, as you walk in the spirit, and not the flesh, walking as Jesus walked, in sincerity, purity and love!

A real saint will not be perfect as some think perfection is( as perfect as God) BUT will be living the crucified life, that only comes through repentance and faith both proven by deeds! And these deeds include obeying Jesus from the heart, abstaining from all appearances of evil, departing from iniquity, counting the cost, and most of all, crucifying your flesh with Christ once and for all, not because He did it for you, but because He commands you to do it, and a real saint will never argue in favor of sin!

Gal 5:24 But those belonging to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Tommy

Many will say this way is too difficult, and will come up with many excuses why they can’t obey and follow Jesus on the narrow road, but Jesus made it perfectly clear when He said, strive to enter the narrow gate, where the professing church says, it’s done for you, you cannot obey God, and to fear Him isn't important, just believe all is done, you do nothing but trust it has been done for you! Does this sound like the narrow way Jesus preached in the word?

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Hope this helps,

Dig deep, kep His commands, walk in the light!

Tommy

couldn't edit what I wanted to correct, so here are my corrections:
I apologize if I accused you of going to hell,(and you are living a pure and holy life as laid out in scripture) or anyone else here, I am trying to get you to see what sin produces in the life of a professed believer, my zeal gets in the way at times, but those know in their heart if they are producing good or bad fruit in their lives, which is good fruit unto life or bad fruit unto death! BUT I am commanded out of love to warn the unrighteous and lukewarm, to repent or perish, to go and sin no more, or else they will be separated from God forever.

Tommy--no, I don't accuse you of claiming to be sinless at all. And yes, I actually do read what you write, especially regarding the "saint or ain't", as you've included it in a good number of your posts.

Blessings to you.

And thank you for being my guest of honor.
