In attempts to find some sanity I'm going to share something I'm good at and invite you to share your own. Useless facts! Here is my first the term "Close but no cigar actually comes from carnivals. Usually the Strength test (the lever that you hit with a mallet to ring the bell) the prize was usually a cigar. So if you were close, obviously no cigar.

Hello. I'm Lawhana, this should be a FUN thread! Thank you!.....Eyes in the back of my head!...well obviously we don't have them there too but I used and convinced my children,I DID. When they were doing something I had explicitly told them not too, when I addressed their bad behaviour,I used this statement.......never letting them know... I had been there, done that....😂😂😂😂. It was a hoot until they were way older and realized what I was doing...... Even more was when they used this phrase in their own children... Good blessings to you!🙏

Lol 😁 here's an interesting fact a pair siamese twins lived into there late 70s or 80s I believe and both had wives :)
My bad I had to cheat a little on this one close late 60s however this was the 1800s anyone living that long was remarkable let alone conjoined twins. Chang and Eng Bunker I believe....and they had 21 children between the two of em....which is more than any reasonable person needs too know 😂

Although Denver is called the "Mile High City", it is actually 5260 feet above sea level. (One mile = 5280 feet.)

I have weird Ken Burns documentary related knowledge. Like how Prohibition basically led to the start of organized crime. Also that Teddy Roosevelt had asthma and managed to like vicariously live despite it.

I’ve seen a few of his documentaries...they are awesome..The Civil War and The Vietnam war were really good....organized crime during Prohibition really took hold in Chicago and it’s been a problem here ever since. It’s a great City but the corruption is palpable....last year one day in June there were 58 murders in one night...so there are definitely places here to not go to..
