Have you ever felt intense pressure being placed upon you by the stresses of life? Whether in the area of personal health, marriage relationships, finances, or work, we all at one time or another face difficulties. Sometimes however, the weight of them can press down and weigh so heavily on us that we become desperate for help and relief. Circumstances in life can create intense agony, where we feel we're pushed to the limit, and are tempted to walk away from it all and quit. You may be in that kind of situation right now.
You may be struggling for peace in your soul because of the problems you're facing. Perhaps you even feel like you're constantly living in a "pressure cooker," having to deal with that continuous pressure, with no one to lean on for strength, encouragement, and help. The Bible tells us that Jesus faced that kind of situation in the Garden of Gethsemane. And because of that, He is able to understand everything you and I are thinking and feeling today. All we need to do is take some time to talk to Jesus about the situations we are facing. In prayer, we can hand the weight of them completely over to Him and trust Him to not only understand what we are going through, but receive the wisdom and strength we need to push through and not give up. As we lean on Him, He will give us all we need to make it through the challenge, and come out stronger than when we began, because He really does care about us.
