marriage is good, God ordained it!

i love to get married soon, but whenever i think about marriage, i'm always afraid.

seven of my friends are married, i see what they go through in their marriage and each time i think about settling down, i'm always scared.

i think i am afraid of the unknown!

probably the known too

me and you are about the same age as you

usually the good women are found early on

i dont even try anymore

ive actually passed on many opportunities to see if a woman was wife material or not

and just avoided it completely being scared of what could go wrong

Heard people say to others many times don't compare your relationship / marriage with other people. Yea the unknown can be bothersome but if your with the one you love there really shouldn't be any fear. As the scriptures say perfect love casts out fear

I am erring a bit when it comes to that decision. Sure, it can be fun and eventful, but I am concerned about the fact that 50% of all marriages end in divorce and all those money disputes, not to mention the probability of being cheated on...so yeah :/

Marriage isn't a requirement. If you don't feel peace about it, then don't do it.

As you have said marriage is a beautif thing and what you see to your friends is typical human thinking and how we have forget that we need to depend on God in everything.
Set your marriage on Gods foundation and you will experience Gods love in your life. That's my thinking.

Marriage is a ceremony to instigate and bear witness to a covenant. The human covenant is the closest earthly representation we have of the covenant relationship between Christ and the church. If you are a covenant-minded person, marriage is good and can be immensely fruitful in many ways. If not, it's pretty weak, shallow and tenuous.

Marriage, in and of itself, can be a very positive thing. It's not for everyone though. Some folks are just at their best when they are single.

but sometimes, you have to learn from people around you, when couples share their experience, we could learn from there; that's why comparison would always come in!

First things first, never compare yourself with anyone cause you're unique. Beside, scriptures condemn it. 2Corinthians 10:12.

Secondly, you don't need to be afraid, rather believe in Jesus' ability at work in you and your husband to be to see you through. 1John 4:18. 2Timothy 1:7.

If you can change your mindset, you can change your life. Proverbs 23:7.

What would it mean to say I'm at my best when I'm with someone?
like being with someone always motivates me to want to be a better person . Shouldn't my motivation and inspiration come from God? how would I go about changing that?

on this earth, you see different kind people on daily basis, God created them in His image and likeness.
over two thousand years ago, people became Christians not because God gave them the inspiration nor the motivation, rather, the life of the apostles inspired and motivate them.

go created we humans differently, some are like Thomas, they only become inspired and motivated only when they see others.

apart from that, it is necessary sometimes to become inspired or draw inspiration from some one, depending on what you are passing through

though we have positive (good) and negative (bad) inspiration and motivations

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (Thes. 5:11)

when ever you are with someone and all you could think about is how to become a better person, that is a positive (good) motivation and inspiration that can only come from God, though through an earthly being, it means that person is sent by God directly or indirectly to change you for good.
