I read this really really dumb article about how women who have short hair have mental issues.

I debated posting the link but frankly I'll skip it.

I happen to like hair that makes women feel comfortable, feel pretty or simply feel good about herself.

And I'm sure someone is going to put how long hair is a glory to a woman, thats fine.

I'm really not the hair police. In fact when it comes to a girl's hair, just about anything goes. (Unless your name is Cyndi Lauper, then you should just give up and buy a nice wig or something)

Examples of Misc Hair that I find attractive....

Long story Short, just do what you want to do. Don't feel like a vocal minority should determine how you should have your hair or not have your hair. If you want to do something do it. :)

At the end of the Day, its hair, it grows back.

Short hair is great! I had long hair for a year now, gets in the way of everything. My hair is shoulder length right now and I'm considering going even shorter, something fun. That's funny about that article...so does it mean that once their hair grows out their mental health issues go away?! :p

My hair has been long and short now it's medium length. I've had mental issues with all hair lengths.

How...what...

Um...are there really people who get paid to research things like this? Like...there's some guy, somewhere, who has had some crazy girlfriends and he realized they all had short hair...so...

Short hair=mental issues!

...what?

I cut all my hair off one time, it was about 2 inches long all over. But that was because I was already crazy.

Liamson, your threads are way too much to handle so early in the morning :p

My brain wakes up and immediate begins at Mach Schnell.

I made a fried bread recipe this morning that I've never tried before. It was magical.

I'm probably going to be late for class because I've started way too many projects at like 530.

But the hair thing was REALLY REALLY bothering me. I was pretty offended. So because I'm an impulsive small child at heart, I had to post about it.

I dated this guy that was a friend of a friend, he wasn't all that nice. I wrote a poem about him in the bad poetry thread because his name rhymed with handy and dandy. Anyhow after me he dated another girl named Jen and she broke up with him too, because he wasn't nice. He told my friend that all women named Jen are crazy.

So I think your on to something there MissCriss.

Hmmm, if a person with long hair goes mental, will her hair shrink?

Looking at Miley Cyrus I would say it's true.
I hacked 10 inches off my hair back in the summer. Now I have short hair. Considering my own mental stability many may think it's true.

Maybe the hair is a direct extension of your brain, when you cut your hair, you cut off your brain.

We may just have mental issues in general and we use our hair to express our state of mind. :)

Truly, though, there was only one time that my hair being cut short was linked to some traumatic thing in my life. I had something happen and that night I went to the salon and had them chop it all off, even had them cut it up and around my ears. It is the shortest I've ever had my hair. After it was done and I was lying in bed at home, I apologized to God for cutting off my hair so impulsively (there is a great deal to this story...not going to get into it here*) He told me, "It's all right. It will grow back."

I don't know where these people get their ideas, but, yeah, I've known women with long flowing locks that were insane and ones with short pixie cuts that were amazing women of God. Every pastor's wife I've known has had short hair. :) Yup. Currently, my hair is pretty short...I want to do a pixie cut but I can never make myself do it. :D

*I do not believe that women need to have long hair. This is not why I apologized to God for cutting my hair. Just so you know. :)

My hair has been short, and long, and it never made a difference as far as I can tell. I can't pull off short hair well, which is why it's long now. I see short styles that are so adorable, and I want one, but it just doesn't look good on me at all.

I think the reason women change their hair so often is because it is one of the few things you can do drastically and, if you regret, just wait a few months and the only proof of your error are photos, if you even permitted those to happen. :)

In my facebook news feed. One of my "Friends" will share his "Opinion" by "Sharing" some article he read about how other people should run their lives.

In the end, I think some guys just hate most women. Women except for one's like his mother, are all apparently second class citizens.

Your def right about that. Short hair is one of my pet peeves but that doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with ladies that want to wear their hair that way. It's their hair ya know. lol. I don't get this whole "If you don't do it the way I like it, your worthless" mentality.

On your other point though. I don't think it's so much that men actually hate women, I think it's more that they are bitter to them because they are lonely. They suffer from the nice guy syndrome, they got it in their heads that if they act nice and buy flowers that women are obligated to be interested in them or give them a certain kind of attention (Which is manipulative IMO, it's really not nice at all if your only doing it because you have a hidden agenda....and you get mad when someone doesn't respond the way you intended them to).

Rather than admit to themselves that they may have something about themselves they need to work on, they prefer to put other people down and feel better about themselves that way.....instead of growing into a mature human being. Thoughts? I'm not without my own flaws (Lord knows I have plenty of them) but I'm really worried about this misogynistic mindset so many men seem to have these days.

Well, darn. I should have kept my hair long instead of chopping like 4 inches off exactly one week ago today. :p

Honestly I love my hair right now. It's low-maintenance, and even though some of it will get into my eyes, especially when I wear headphones, it's a more flattering look on me.

...And I only have SLIGHT mental issues. :p
