HI!
I am eighteen years old and I am just now starting to grow in my faith. Often I feel stuck like I don't know where to start. What bible verses should I read? When I ask this I mean I want to be committed to reading the bible, but I don't know where to start. How do you pray? I use the rosary, but I am not Catholic, is this okay? How do you strengthen faith? Why is it so hard to spread the word? Why is being a Christian so "uncool"? What are some good Christian pop music artists I can listen to? Why is there no tv shows or fiction for Christians?

I would really just like a friend that can help me answer some of my questions and help guide me into being the Christian I want to be. Together we can grow!
I understand this post is loaded with questions and even if you just answer one I would be grateful.
Thank You,
CC

No rosarys aren't okay...stawp using them
Bible reading.... well i usually started studying on a certain topic like the gospel, healing, fasting and specifically studied that in the bible
Pray to God as if he is standing infront of you. Freely
You grow in faith over time by just letting God handling things and putting your trust into him.
Spreading the word is hard because people get nasty or ignore it. Plus you don't wanna make yourself or others uncomfortable
Being a christian is “uncool“ because we are not of this world
I like watching the 700 club. They are cool
Music.... paul wilbur

Hey CC, for the music question... you should totally listen to artists/bands like, Francesca Battistelli, For KING & COUNTRY, MercyMe, Natalie Grant, Matthew West, Hollyn, TobyMac, Andy Mineo, Group 1 Crew, Jamie Grace and many many others! "Why is there no tv shows or fiction for Christians?" Ummm, actually, there is much Christian fiction out there. countless... so, to answer that question there's no reason to ask why aren't they lol

you can start from Genesis to Revelation. reading the bible from the beginning to the end is where most new believers start. (i think :D )or you can begin in the gospel of John. :)

I like your taste in christian music. To the OP, I reccomend Hillsong Young & Free, Capital Kings, Rend Collective, Lecrae, and Jason Gray

Being a Christian is uncool because you decide to not partake in worldy desires. Obviously I'm not saying you should be against going to the movies, sporting events ect... however someone who is not a christian will find more pleasure going to the club, dancing, drinking till they drunk and does that make them happier? For the moment they convince themselves they are happy but in reality they are not. So yeah you have to make a choice, be of the world of be of God. So far it seems you want to be with God so I'm happy for you. As for T.V. shows most "christians shows" are not that good in terms of quality but try to find some if you can. The Bible Series was decent. 700 Club, eh I'm not much of a fan. Don't like how biased and hateful it can be about certain things but you can watch it if you want.

You need to stop using rosaries when you pray. That's a catholic practice, and there's nothing Christian in catholicism...
