If you had told me when I was 20 I would date someone who isn't white I would have laughed in your face. I was raised in a home where dating anyone other than a white, Christian male was WRONG. When I started chatting with someone online for months and months and started crushing on him... i was SHOCKED when he showed me what he looked like. He was Asian..and you know what? It didn't MATTER. We dated nearly 5 years. People are too caught up with looks. I am not ashamed to admit that I am just not attracted to some races. It's about personal preference. I have a white friend who dates ONLY black men. That is what she is attracted to. I think treating someone like they are less of a person because of their skin color is wrong, but I don't think you should feel guilty to whatever you are attracted to.

If I met the right guy I don't think it would matter. I have seen guys that I was not attracted to at first, and then when I got to see their personality, they became very attractive. The same could be said about a man who I thought was one of the nicest looking guys I had come across. When I got to know him, his attitude and views on life made his outward appearance reflect the ugliness on the inside.

I really think it varies according to the person, it should be decided personality-wise anyway.

Heck yeah there are white guys who like black girls. Everyone has different taste.


I am white/Mexican and I once went through a phase where I liked mostly Asian guys. I remember seeing Asian guys on forums making polls just like this if any white girl wold ever find him attractive. :eek:

I think it depends on the guy himself. My ex-boyfriend is white and he is really attracted to black girls. So like I said, it depends on the guy. :D

I never really paid attention to black women. The reason was because I never considered that they could be attracted to me. Guess I kind of had blinders on because of that. However, my last girlfriend was mulatto and since then I have become aware and have had some very pleasant conversations where there was mutual interest. There is a woman that works at the Home Depot near here that I really enjoy talking to.
So while of course we know that there are those that don't believe it is right for some reason, there are also those that just never really considered it as an option for a lack of knowing any better.
If you find someone you are interested in, you may have to be more vocal about that interest. Maybe that will help them shake off the same blindness that I had at one time.

LOL..I couldn't help but respond to this thread. I have talked to black women about this,because I have had many a crush of a black girl when I was younger. At least this seems to be the case how it operates in upstate NY where I grew up. Even if a black woman is interested in a white guy,or the reverse,95% of the time they will not get together. I've been told by more than one black girl my age or younger,that there is some sort of unwritten law that prohibits them from being with a white guy..it's like some crazy racist thing & very frowned upon. Many black women seem to hate the fact that so many black men date white women,but this doesn't seem to motivate them to want to be with a white guy enough.
I was around 17 working at a restaurant & had a wicked crush on one of the black waitresses,we were great friends too. We flirted alot,had tons in common. I asked her out & she said no,because her parents & various family members would kill her. She said she'd sleep with me,but no dating. Well,I was never that type of guy,so that was that..but it always made me sad to think that just because of the color of my skin,she felt we couldn't be together or had to hide it.
Anyways..I think it's perfectly fine to be with whoever...skin color is not an issue,and I don't know but a hand full of white guys I've met in my lifetime,secular or believers at would even find dating or getting married to a black woman an issue.

I just met up with a woman I have known for years and she was very upset her grandson was dating a black girl Very against interracial marraiges.

it seems like there is more colors isue in America than in Europe. There are a lot of mixed couples in here white/black white/asian Asian/black etc...

I believe what the brother (exbi-savedbygrace) is trying to point out is rather important and very biblical. For the more we focus on physical appearance, not that we don't or shouldn't, it is the character of the individual that matters most. Often times we may become blinded due to the appearance of the individual because they suit our hearts desires. So I believe the brother is pointing out the truth to where our focus should mainly be. Physical appearance is a preference of each and every individual which we may or may not agree with. And one thing we can agree with is that the character of the individual matters most.

I've always thought about this too.I like white guys as well and I've always wondered if they would like me.I think that some white guys do like black girls.But I also think that many guys don't know what they want.Don't sweat it though,God will lead that guy to you.Whether he is white or not who knows;skin color doesn't matter anyways:)

Lol I don't think it matters to me, but i'm mostly attracted to white girls.

However a lot of black girls are gorgeous. All that really matters though is who you really connect to and who God has for you. If that girl for me happens to be black, asian, or any other nationality for that matter then that's completely okay.

as Far as i am concern, i don't believe in racism, bc there is only ONE HUMAN RACE, made up of human beings with different skin pigmentation; with different cultural background though
