is it okay to dance christian music with a partner??

Welll first of all im mexican so the christian music i listen to is that type of genre you dance by yourself or with a partner like holding the girl by the waist and stuff...ive asked my pastor if its okay to dance with a partner and he said he didnt know but he thinks it would be okay to dance with your spouse and then i asked what if i decided to dance with a friend and he said he didnt know ... Its not like we are going to be making some sensual moves because i know thats badd but what do you guys think?????:)

Should be no problem with it at least in my opinion, especially the way that you describe it. :)

It would be okay as long as you both kept your hands to yourselves. I would suggest not dancing alone with just you and your partner. You should do it with people around so you are not tempted.

I think dancing is okay. Grinding up and down on each, no. But regular dancing is fine.

:) I do it all the time... Dancing is one of my favorite things to do, and also a lot of my friends really like dancing too. I've danced with lots of guys, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it. As long as it's not suggestive dancing, it's fine :)

As stated above, the whole grinding form of dancing - which IMO is basically dry humping on the dance floor, if I may be blunt - is not something Christians should be engaging in. As a guy, that kind of dancing is, ahem, exciting. However, outside of blatant stuff like that, I don't see much wrong. God doesn't forbid us from dancing. David danced before the tabernacle (or was it altar? I forget). It has been known that some people dance when under the power of the Holy Spirit. I personally enjoy dancing, to my surprise more so than most women I've met. It's an art that definitely need to not be lost.

that is exactly what i thought just that my pastor couldnt give me an answer because he didnt know he didnt want to tell me its okay if it wasnt or its not okay if it was, i just knew sexual moves are not appropriate :)

just make sure you and the guy are on the same page when it comes to whats off limits and you should be fine

We pretty much have classes here. :D no one here knows how to dance in any inappropriate manner because it's the christian adults teaching us how to dance. :)
