Watchmen was an incredibly deep comic. If your boys are YOUNG yound, I wouldn't let them watch read it, but it really presents an interesting plotline and complex characters. Both of which are virtualy nonexistant with the modern media and are both parts of quality entertainment. Personaly I don't care much for blood and such, and am actually quite mad at treyarch and infinity ward (and alot of the gaming industry and community) for bumping the rating of their "Call of Duty" series from T to M, but if it offers entertainment that is unrivaled anywhere else in the industry, I can perservere.

hehehe, my dad watched Twilight the other day. My sister had just watched it and didn't take it out of the DVD player, so when my dad went to watch some dude movie he ended up watching Twilight instead.
It obviously was not a movie he'd watch again since it is a chick flick, but he found no major issues with it. He probably figured "these vampires can't even classify as real vampires, so why even worry about it?"

So you would have no scruples over allowing children to watch "adult" movies (which by the way is illegal, at least in Florida it is illegal to allow children to watch porn movies. It's considered sexual abuse) for the simple fact that "movies are just movies"?

The point I was trying to get across is that not all movies are just movies. The thing is if someone says "movies are just movies" then that person has to be accepting to every crass, vulgar, unGodly movie out there. After all, they're just movies, right?
Yes, some movies are just movies and people grossly overreact to them, (mainly Disney animated movies), but that doesn't work for all movies. Nothing is that black and white.

I really liked the Rocky Horror Picture Show, but my mom grounded me for watching it.
But so many movies have swearing and sex it's hard to find a good one that's completely clean
