you know there's places you get served with human meat unknowingly...thugs do that to destroy "evidence"
All this can make me think of, is Sweeney Todd. I really need to stop watching movies.
And for your reply,...thanks for that,...
Lol I'm trusting Jesus not to let this get to me, because its trying to. I will avoid this thread now Lol

Has anyone seen Life of Pi? I absolutely hate that movie,...if you get the message at the end, you'll see that it was all about Cannibalism and the role it played in that situation.

Honestly, the thought of eating another human, or another human eating me turns my stomach and makes me kinda sick. I'd never do that,..I'd die.
I've read the book and if the movie's anything like it, the whole point wasn't Cannibalism. There was much more to it than that. The book was very philosophical and the unreliable narrator kept things interesting. Something wasn't quite right about the whole thing.

OP is a CANNIBAL! Everyone beware!

Christian Cannibalism | New H2O

On a more serious note, I'd probably never eat someone in a survival situation and here is why.

There are two cases.

Case 1: There is a chance that you will get rescued, or otherwise make it out alive.
Whether it be a helicopter finding you or a trail of bread crumbs that lead you out of the woods, there is definite hope of survival in this case. Therefore, I wouldn't want to take the risk of eating my friends on Tuesday night and being rescued Wednesday morning. Because I don't know what tomorrow will bring I wouldn't want to risk it.

Case 2: There is no chance of being rescued, or otherwise making it out alive.
I'm going to starve to death, it's just a question of when. So I might as well die with my dignity.

well, it depends upon how far along you've been without food, honestly.

speaking from experience, once you've been fasting for a day or so, pretty much all hunger dissipates and as long as you had water, you can go quite awhile before you're at risk for starvation.

that said, i really don't think people realize that IF you're at that place where starvation is imminent, making a conscious choice probably isn't even the situation.

our bodies are deeply ingrained with survival instincts, and i would assume that were that the case, your overwhelming sense of hunger (i.e. your brain being starved of glucose) would override your "dignity" and whatever reservations you, as a well-fed person could possibly conceive of.

Hmm not to be all Hannibal Lector on the matter, but I have done a bit of study on cannibalism. Doesn't seem like something I'd ever want to do. Something that did interest me though is that in cultures where cannibalism is common so is the curse of kuru, which is a prion that pretty much turns your brain into spongiform making you go insane and eventually die.
Kuru (disease) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

As for a hypothetical Donner Party situation, personally I'd rather let my flesh wither and die before eating one of my comrades, but I wouldn't hold it against them if they ate me, though I do find the thought disturbing. Though being a rather skinny dude, I don't think they'd get much meat out of me either which way lol.

Please tell me, because if I've eaten human flesh without knowing, I want to ask God for forgiveness.

I watched a terrifying episode of Locked Up Abroad and it was about these American soldiers that were stationed somewhere in Africa where cannibalism took place. Essentially the idea was to consume their enemies. When one of the soldiers asked one of the men they were with if they ever ate a human before and he answered "yes". The soldier asked, "Is it true then? Do human's taste like pork?" and the man answered, "I wouldn't know. I'm Muslim."

Haha some of your responses were great!

I can't help my curiosity on this matter!

I'm not a cannibal yet... Nor do I plan to be... But when push comes to shove eating someone would not be super difficult for me. My friends and I all decided that as long as the person was skinned/we couldn't see their face, it wouldn't be a problem.

I still don't know what God says about it (if anything), but I guess if I was put into a position to eat someone for survival and didn't feel conflicted, it would probably be okay.

To my fellow curious cannibals: I'm glad I'm not the only one with the mindset that I'd eat someone! Haha!

I'm a bit scared. I'll watch the news to see when you turn up as a story.

I apologize in advance if any offense is taken....this thread is creepy and disgusting....I speak only for myself, of course.
I'd totally eat you if we were both stranded.

When thoughts like this come into mind you know it is enemy, and we then changed to be like what we think about this is very demon thoughts when thinking like this please not put on internet where others get demon thought to go to Jesus he not talk like this things bad to mention it. Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Eph 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. if you know something creepy it is duty of christian not to share that creepy for then we ministers of darkness causing possession by this demon thought also.

I'd rather perform a harakiri than eat another person.

Haha really? I'm curious about the moral implications of eating people so automatically my thoughts are "of the devil"? I don't think so, good sir! This was a half-joking/fun thread to just get people thinking. I doubt anyone here has any intentions of going and committing murder because I was curious as to whether they would eat a person. Lighten up! Not everything that comes out of our mouths can be categorized as "good/godly" or "evil/from the devil"... Some things are just plain old, "human." An attitude like yours is what pushed me away from Christianity in my teen years, so perhaps you should watch what you say.
