Sup, just joined as well. The bible wasn't written by god, it was written by people who witnessed stuff from god and by writting his word, so it's not exactly that different if it's jesus talking or god. Or I'm pretty sure at least, please correct me if I'm wrong.

well of course i know that the bible was not written by God, but i mean from the christian religion, its more of Jesus based than God based is that correct? because i remember hearing Catholic is more God based, and Christian is more Jesus? correct me if i'm wrong too plz=)

God is the father and Jesus is the son. God sent Jesus to the world to die for our sins and give us a savior. I don't think that it is more Jesus-based than God-based because without God, Jesus wouldn't have ever existed. Jesus words are important but the whole Bible is written by those who witnessed both Jesus and God. The New Testament is full of Jesus works and preachings. It probably speaks more of His words because he was witnessed by many and many remembered the things he said and the miracle she worked. He was just sent here to spread God's message to us and to give us hope. That's how I understand it anyway. Different people have different interpretations on the Bible and Christianity but I hope I help! :)

Thanks!=) i sorta understand it more now...but still not 100% lol but i see....i see....so what is the difference between the old and new testament because i always here it. also, names such as John, Moses, Jeremiah, etc.. are people that Jesus blessed right? or people from Jesus's time?

and also, (lol sorry for so many questions in one reply) i just finished reading the "purpose driven" by Rick warren...has anyone read this? cuz i mentioned this book at another forum, and asked what people thought and they told me, well one or two of them told me that i shouldn't read the book=( any thoughts?

Thanks again!!=)

hm..sorry guys for another question, but it just came to my mind....why did Jesus create human beings or people like us if he knew we would sin? or knew that some of us would not believe in him and would go to hell? i know that the purpose of a christian is to spread the word and try to help another person by believing in Jesus therefore going to heaven, but why make us if some will not make it?
